Good sub for Cheerios; pantry "must have" for baby-led weaning
We bought these for my 9 month old after wanting to find an "O" cereal that didn't have sugar added to it.It's worth noting that Barbara's Organic Honest O's and regular Cheerios have the exact same sugar content - Honest O's list "apple juice from concentrate" in the ingredients, and that's easily where the sugar comes from. So while I'm a little disappointed that there's still the same sugar content, this is still a great cereal and my son enjoys it.Actual comparison between these and Cheerios - I honestly cannot tell a difference. Maybe because I don't eat Cheerios every day, so I have no special Cheerio taste buds that warn me when I've put something inferior in my mouth. Whatever the case - these are crunchy and light, they have a nice oaty flavor, and they don't dissolve into a soggy mess the instant they touch your tongue (I'm looking at you, Gerber puffs). The one thing I will say that these things have over Cheerios is that to me, Cheerios have always smelled slightly like urine. My kid inevitably smelled like pee after eating a few fist fulls of Cheerios, and I could never figure it out until I sniffed the box of Cheerios. These don't smell like anything other than cereal.

Not as tasty as Cheerios, but natural and GMO-free
I have to admit it... Cheerios just taste better. These are more dry and thin and pretty tasteless. And now I have 6 boxes! I bought them for my toddler who used to love Cheerios as a snack but has moved on to bigger and better things so we serve this as cereal with fruit and she will eat it that way... which means these 6 boxes are going to last a while since I don't eat them! But I "like" the fact that they are natural, sweetened only with fruit juice, and GMO-free and that is why I feel confident serving them to my baby girl.

A worthy " O "
I like these but only eat these because they have no sugar. I would rather have the oat puffs that are discontinued. I'm not a big fan of " O's" because they really don't have much substance to them but they are easy to eat/easy on my teeth and they lack sugar.

That may seem like a weird issue and it's not something I ever ...
I purchase this not only because it is organic, but also because it is low in iron. That may seem like a weird issue and it's not something I ever paid attention to until I had my iron randomly tested. I don't eat a lot of meat so it was confusing when my iron came back somewhat elevated than the norm. This was leading up to a month before surgery for something that led me to eat mostly a diet of cereal. Cereal that gave me 90% or more of the iron I needed in a day, and I was eating it for at least two meals a day with fruits and veggies. I've since looked for brands that don't fortify their cereals with extra vitamins and minerals that I may not need.

Yummy snack
I love these. I love that there is a slight taste of salt. My kids and husband love these too. And I love that they aren't fortified with vitamins. They have corn which is a bummer for some. But gluten and dairy free. Thanks!UPDATE: my latest shipment is not gluten free. I'm not sure if the formula changed or i misread it on my previous order, but here on the boxes it does not say gluten-free. My kids still like it. I won't eat it with the risk of cross contamination. Too sensitive!

Barbara's Bakery Cereal and Subscribe-and-Save
I personally do not eat this cereal (not because I do not like it, but because I am not a big cereal lover), but my husband does. He loves it! And I want to thank Amazon for carrying this sometimes hard-to-find product and at a discounted price via subscribe-and-save. It still is a bit pricey for cereal but Amazon's subscribe and save program has saved us some money, as well as lots of time trying to find this product (especially at a semi-reasonable price) in our local stores. It must be a good cereal because it is often sold out!So this review is not only for the cereal, but for Amazon's great subscribe-and-save program as well!My husband adds: "Please keep offering this cereal!" That speaks volumes.

It has just as much fiber as oatmeal and no sugar, wheat, or white flour. Great cereal.

Regular Cheerios
Just are not to my liking. Airy. Lacking in the real oats flavor. I never felt full eating these. I thought they would be like the ones I bought in the store but since Barbara's makes a pure product it just left something to be desired. Not a good comparison at all. Not to say I will buy the ones in the store in that familiar yellow box but prefer the mini square ones from Barbara's.
