Finally! A full size and MOBILE spine model!
The media could not be loaded. As a yoga and dance instructor and self-proclaimed anatomy nerd, I was very excited to add this full size spine model to add to my visuals for teaching and learning. The model arrived in great shape and after putting the stand together and adding the femoral heads to the hip joint, I had it all setup within just a few minutes. One thing I really like about this model is the mobility. I can show flexion, extension, lateral flexion and even a little rotation in the cervical and thoracic sections. It’s been a great tool for teaching my students because I don’t have to ask them to visualize the spinal movements when I’m giving an example, I can actually show them! This is a nice change from many other models. I just have to be sure to reset the natural curves because it holds the shape when you bend or rotate it.While I’ve only had this for a little over a week, it seems to be well made, is sturdy, but not so heavy that I can’t easily maneuver it.The only thing I wish was a little different was the way it hangs. Due to the occipital bone (base of skull) being attached, the skull rubs on the top of the hangar. You can definitely hang it slight off center, but my ocd would like it to line up with the base of the stand.Overall, I actually love this spine and am looking forward to helping my students gain a better understanding of anatomy.

Love the color coding
SO many of these are just plain bone color, so it's hard to tell what's what, but this one has color coding that makes it easy to identify parts of the spine. It's easy to assemble and disassemble, and is excellent for chiropractic students or practitioners.

NO EXTIENDE!!!
NO EXTIENDE!!!

High quality, accurate model
An exceptionally well made model for the price.Picked this up for my daughter, who is taking anatomy as part of her pre-med program. She really liked it, showed it to her professor who was also impressed.Perhaps an othopedic or spinal surgeon would require even more detail. For a student, or even a general practitioner looking to explain things to a patient, this is an excellent model, nicely sized, at a great price.

Great for teaching
The décor at my house is an oddities theme. This fit in nice. It is very life like. However, the color was off. So, I stained it. Now it looks more like real bone. However. This is a great device to have in a classroom. It seems to be correct anatomically. It added a great touch to my already odd decor.

Good quality model for the price except spinal nerves are not accurately represented...
This is a good anatomical model for general use as an aid to learning the basic structures of the vertebral column and how it articulates with the remaining elements of the axial skeleton at the occipital bone (superiorly) and the pelvis (inferiorly). The spinal cord (yellow) is visible traveling through the vertebral canal and the spinal nerves (also yellow) exiting the canal via the intervertebral foramina of the individual vertebrae. The regions of the vertebral column are color coded; 7 cervical vertebrae in purple, 12 thoracic vertebrae in blue, 5 lumbar vertebrae in green and the sacrum & coccyx in orange. The intervertebral discs are represented as the flexible pads in between the vertebrae that are not fused. A herniated disc is shown between lumbar vertebrae 3 & 4. The vertebral arteries traveling through the transverse foramina of the cervical vertebrae are show entering the skull through the foramen magnum of the occipital bone and contributing to the Circle of Willis. I would say that this model would be useful for a beginning A&P class or for students wishing to augment lab time at home, but there is a discrepancy in the depiction of the spinal nerves which could lead to confusion. There are seven cervical vertebrae and eight cervical spinal nerves, but only seven of them are shown. In addition, the spinal nerves in the sacral region are not correctly represented (no S5 or Co1 and no caudal equine which is often shown). Other than the issue with the spinal nerves, I think this model would be a useful study aid in preparing for a lab practical exam. There is some movement between the unfused vertebrae. The model is fairly heavy and seems very durable. It arrived assembled except for the femoral heads which are easy to attach. The stand is also easy to assemble, with a set screw holding the hooked staff in place on the base. It also seems fairly sturdy. The price of this model was $128.99 on the day that I placed my order. I do think it is a good model for the price.

False advertising, looks nothing like the picture
The media could not be loaded. This product looks nothing like the ad pictured. From the ad you can see from the 7 cervical, 12 thoracic to the 5 lumbar spine it's well proportion as it suppose to in our human spine. What you actually get as I picture and videoed it's all unporportion in size. Cervical are good but when it comes to the thoracic it's way larger than the lumbar. Looks pretty weird.Kind of embarrass to display it in my clinic for my patient to see it. Forget about me trying to explain to them using this model that their lumbar suppose to be larger than their thoracic.

Buen producto
Cumplió con mis expectativas, es tal cual las especificaciones del proveedor. Tardó un poco en llegar pero fue envío gratis, tal vez pagandolo llegase más rápido, además de que se atravesó el puente
