Video surveillance system harddrive failure. So I purchased this SSD.
I recommend SSD for any video surveilance system running a disk drive. Easy to install no programming just unplug old and plug in the new solid state hard drive. Great product, cheap and working great.

Great drives for the price!!
Inexpensive. Revive any old laptop with one of these drives. 120GB is a little small, spend a few extra dollars and go with 250GB.

Average performing budget SSD
This InLand 256GB SSD caught my attention as it was priced lower than other 240/256GB SSDs so I decided to take a chance on it even with the amount of mixed reviews. On a benchmark the read speed wasn't the advertised 500 MB/s, instead it averaged closer to 430-440 MB/s and the write speeds were 385-390 MB/s. In real-world usage it peak read at 480 MB/s and the peak writes were up to 400 MB/s.As far as price to performance, for a few dollars more you can get more speed with other makers but the 4yr warranty in my opinion is worth the trade off of speed.

It works and does the job. Love the price
Someone gave me a computer that was not working. In there frustration they reenacted the seen from Donkey Kong when the gorilla would throw the barrels. The guy was about 290lbs. Strong guy.The DVD drive was moving by itself and making strange noises. The HDD was D.O.A. I had gotten this sold stat drive just to try it out on a different system. It was so cheap I thought why not. It was only $12.74 on sale. I don’t need a lost of space so I just went with the 128GB.And wouldn’t you know it. It worked. All I had to do was reinstall Windows 10. The install even picked up the Windows key on the motherboard. Say what you want to about Acer computers but that can taking a beating.

GREAT Purchase
I know a lot of people are not fans of inland products, so far I've had nothing but great experience w/ them. Back here after 1 year and the drive is still working in PERFECT CONDITION, about to order another.

I bought this almost a year ago today. Now it's dead.
I ordered this 512gb hard drive January of last year, I used it a few times for videos footage I was editing and recently couple of games that required a slightly faster load time. I had it connected by external drive enclosure for much of the time I had it, I wanted to move it to a new enclosure shortly after the new year and it gave me connection errors with the USB sound turning on and off constantly, I thought it was the enclosure so I returned it with a bad review that I will have to change now, because after swapping it to a new enclosure and having the drive go corrupt and destroy all my files, I reformatted it and scanned it. Drive comes up with no errors, but after 15 or 20 minutes it randomly starts doing the disconnect/reconnect dance AGAIN. After reading some of these other recent reviews it seems this "professional" drive is really just unreliable garbage.ALSO: I just noticed this 3 year warranty is for "parts and labor," it says nothing about repair or replacement, so it's a pretty worthless gesture. I doubt I'm getting a new drive even after only a year, and I'll likely never buy this brand again.
