WHITE MOUNTAIN Women's Helga Flat Sandal

These sandals appear to be well made from quality materials. They are nice sandals. They are a very good value at less than 1/5th the price of the very well know brand.My feet are wide in front and narrow in at the heel. I have a high arch and a reasonably high instep. I normally wear a size 7W. These were not available in wide but I took a chance based on how they looked in the photos and order size 7M. The front of these sandals is sufficiently wide and the length is fine. I was able to adjust the two straps to accommodate my foot shape. I loosened the front strap and tightened the back strap so that my foot doesn’t slip and slide when I walk. I wish the back strap was softer against the foot. However, if I loosen the back strap to make it more comfortable, my foot slides making this sandal, inadequate for walking. I will likely try some cushioning inside the strap before I attempt walking in these. Were it not for the issue of strap comfort, I would rate these sandals 5 star. Note, I upgraded to 5 stars.Although I am not a fan of breaking in footware, I liked these enough to attempt to make the buckles more comfortable. I applied large bandaids to the top of my foot where the buckles hurt, put on thin socks and wore these sandals around the house for about an hour each day for a few days. They are getting better. I have been able to remove the bandaids and just wear socks with them. I am still only wearing them in the house for an hour. I am so hopeful that I will be able to walk outside without socks that I ordered another pair in a different color.I purchased two more pairs of these. My original pair is now very comfortable. I will break in the two new pairs the same way I broke the original pair.I have upgraded the rating to 5 stars. Why? Because I also purchased a pair of the well know brand (B’s) which cost more than 5 times more than one of these. The B’s are taking even more time to break in.

These are great. The leather is fine grained and a beautiful rich brown. Foot bed has perfect arch, good traction, very comfy. Sizing is accurate. I wear them all day in my classroom. I'm on my feet for hours at a time and couldn't love these sandals more.

Love these shoes! I've wanted Birkenstocks for ages, but every time I try a pair they never seem to fit my feet right. I decided to try these, and I am not disappointed! They're comfortable, and so far seem to be well made. The price point is also very attractive! I'll likely buy a second pair in a different color. :)

I had a pair of knockoff Birkenstocks over a decade ago that I wore into the ground and I've been meaning to get myself a decent pair of similar two-strap leather sandals for ages, but I just can't justify paying over $100 for a pair of sandals! So I figured I'd give these a try because they're real leather and were under $30. I did "try before you buy" with size 8 and 9, since I tend to be between sizes, but usually a little on the bigger side. The 9s were too big (so order a size down if in doubt, as others have said). And my feet are fairly wide, so I adjusted the buckle on the 8s a notch and they fit perfectly. After a day or two of breaking in, they felt like old friends on my feet. Magnificent sandals!I get so happy every time I slip them on my feet. They are exactly what I was looking for and I absolutely love them. Sturdy, affordable, and so comfortable that once I put them on I don't want to take them off. Very happy to have found these--I wish I had bought them for myself years ago. I could have been wearing them all this time! I will wear these suckers until they fall apart, and it doesn't look like that'll be for a LONG time, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Happy with these shoes to the point of giddiness, as silly as that is.

I bought these because my puppy chewed my expensive brand similar to these. I love how these are very comparable to the expensive pair. They are very comfortable! They fit great and are very stylish

These sandals are the best, I ordered my 3rd pair in white yesterday. I didn’t need new ones, they hold up perfectly but I wanted one more color and 3 pairs is still less money than another famous brand. On the picture I’m wearing the white mountain helga sandal on the right foot (bottom) and my daughters ‘birks’ on my left (top). The white mountain sandals are my preference, they are so comfortable with soft leather and adjustable straps. I find the sole more comfortable and flexible than the birks and more comfortable underfoot. Then again the birks are a size bigger and molded for my daughter’s foot. Still, I find the white mountain sandals so much more comfortable and supportive, comfortable enough to walk the dog. The straps are slightly closer together on the white mountain sandals. I can wear them with jeans, leggings, shorts and they look adorable with a summer dress or skirts too. I’ve never had such comfortable and versatile shoes before other than sneakers. Hope this helps you make your decision. I’m a size 7 and these are a true 7.

As a quick slip on shoe that is comfortable to walk in, these are good. The brown leather is much darker than the caramel color in the photo, but still attractive. As a few others have said, they are not quiet shoes. The footbed hugs my heel so a suction release sound happens frequently as I walk, and a click sound comes from the front of the shoe against the floor. I believe these will lessen over time as the shoe materials age. Comfortable and great fit for wide feet.Update: the sound after a week of frequent wearing has not gone away. Still comfortable shoes, but the click sound of the sole reminds me somewhat of a bubblewrap popping sound as the lil' suctions on the sole at front of the shoe release from hard floors. On carpet, only the heel sound from time to time, but on hard floors there is a sound with every step. If wearing primarily outside or on carpet though -- still recommended for the price and comfort.
