Finally! My first nose piercing!
01.17.2022 Update: I just got my other nostril pierced (by my husband again) with the second device in this set, and the second time was just as effortless as the first... and only slight pain for a few seconds. I'm super happy about getting both nostrils pierced for under seven bucks compared to what it would cost in a professional studio setting. My first piercing has healed really nicely, and I expect no less from this one. Also... about ten days after my first piercing, the stud fell out while I was in the shower and went down the drain. Fortunately, I had already purchased a nose bone I wanted to use once it healed, so I just ended up having to use it much earlier. I was able to get it in relatively easily, fortunately. And I've since swapped that out for a clicker. I've been really sticking to a cleaning regimen with saline wash, and to me, that's the key.11.29.2021: I'm very happy that I purchased this device! I've never had a nostril piercing (I have several ear piercings and have had nipple piercings as well), but I've wanted one for years. I watched several videos on YouTube of people using this device - both with success and failing miserably. I quickly learned that most of the people who failed hesitated while trying to push it through their nostril. I already knew I couldn't pierce myself, and if I tried, my result would likely be similar to theirs - the stud would only get halfway through and/or there would be lots of bleeding. So, my husband did it for me! The biggest tips I can give include thoroughly cleaning the area you want to pierce beforehand with alcohol and marking precisely the spot you want to pierce. You want to be doubly sure you're happy with the placement once the jewelry is actually in. Also, be sure you're piercing at an angle and not straight in. Do not hesitate once you start, and give the device a fair amount of pressure to make sure the stud pushes all the way through. You should hear a click once the stud is through, and the plastic piece will release into two pieces from the stud. I liken this device to being similar to how one uses a mini stapler, if that makes sense. The pain was very tolerable and very short-lived. There was slight redness afterward and a little swelling. I did have a very small amount of blood after also. I immediately cleaned the area once the bleeding stopped with a medical grade saline wash, and I continue to do that twice a day. I also try to leave the piercing alone as much as possible. This is my third day with it, and it really looks great, and I have zero pain unless it's accidentally bumped. Others have mentioned the stud being long. If you have a smaller nose or nostrils like I do, I imagine its length is more noticeable because, yes, the sharp end of the stud will scrape or poke at your septum. This was really annoying the first day I got my piercing, but it has gone virtually unnoticed since. I think the fact that the swelling has gone down helped the stud to "settle in" better, and it's really a non-issue for me now. I think this is also why it's important to pay attention to the angle at which your aiming the piercing device. If you go straight in, you're likely going to have serious issues with the sharp end of the stud irritating your septum. I was really concerned immediately after the piercing thinking there was no way I could leave the stud in for the duration of healing time with it poking at me constantly. If you've just pierced your nostril and feel this way too, please give it a day or so to see how it feels. Others have mentioned immediately pulling the included stud out and putting in some new jewelry. I know that's tempting to many people, but I'd highly discourage that unless you're very experienced in doing so. It could potentially lead to trauma to the area as well as an infection. Also, if you do change the jewelry immediately, do not change it to a ring. Allow the piercing to heal with a stud before switching to a nostril ring. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of cleaning the area with a quality salt rinse a couple times per day. Don't use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to cleanse the area. You can make your own saline rinse with distilled water and sea salt (there are recipes online), or you can purchase several brands online or in a store or pharmacy. I purchased a product marketed as a wound wash, and it really keeps the area clean and crust free. Overall, this is a great, money-saving product for those who will use it with care and caution and will take proper care of the piercing after so that it can heal. Again, if you're like me and too squeamish to pierce yourself, or feel you'll chicken out halfway through, then please have someone you trust do this for you. If you or they are unsure, like I said, there are countless videos online of people using this device to pierce themselves and others. Watch those so you know what to expect. Good luck!

It’s a great alternative to spending up to possibly 100 dollars for a piercing. The instructions are easy just sanitize your nose inside and outside really well. I previously bought fake nose rings so I used that to see where I wanted the piercing and out a dot there. From there place it on the dot at an ANGLE. The stud is a bit but but your nose gets used to it. To blow your nose use water. And to clean it get warm water and salt. No infection for me so really just clean it twice a day with salt water.
