I'm surprised to see that the price has risen as much as it did. It is NOT worth the price I am seeing as of today which is more than twice what I paid a year ago. Might be something going on behind the scenes.Anyway, I didn't get much work out of this thing as I thought I would. It's been sitting and collecting dust mostly (ironic? heh). The mop pad gets extremely dirty and is washable, as far as I can tell, but it never gets as clean as you'll see it when it first comes to you.The remote is pretty garbage as is the app for controlling it. When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't, it's plain frustrating. Luckily it's not most of the time, but it happens enough that it's worth mentioning.Really, my advice would be to save up more money for a better robot vacuum or just get a good handheld one. This is too overpriced for what it is and not good enough for your home, big or small.I'm deducting another star for the increase in price.Original review: For a Chinese knock-off (that’s what I assumed when I purchased this), it’s actually pretty good. I’m watching it mop the floor as I write this and I’ll include a video of it mopping.It’s smart in some ways and dumb in others. Smart that it can detect walls and “cliffs” like a staircase and know not to go that way but dumb in typical ways. I tested it the first night I got it using a line of salt. I directed it to the path of salt and it did pick up the salt nicely but did not follow the line of salt as I’ve seen other robot vacuums do. It basically moves around the floor in a pattern and picks up whatever happens to be in the way. This robot does not seem to detect trash and go towards it.It does well finding home some of the time. It seems to slow itself down while going there and eventually finds it. Sometimes, it does appear to be confused and not know where home is even if it’s onlh a few feet. But I might just be impatient.Obstacles sometimes seem to confuse the robot too. You’ll notice in the video that it stumbles into a table leg and that kind of throws off the pattern it was doing. But eventually, given time, it will cover the area it missed if the area is reasonable in size and open enough. It doesn’t really take into account the size of an object that blocked it, just takes notice that something exists there and treats that direction as a wall. Which is unfortunate because it could really go around a pole and continue on its path rather than redirect elsewhere. But I assume this is to prevent a mishap where it continually bumps into a wall trying to get around something that can’t be gotten around.I bought this mainly to help out at work as we’ve needed our floors mopped and don’t have the manpower for it. To be truthful, this really should be used in conjunction with a human mopping. Don’t buy this assuming that it will completely replace any work you would have to do. This is mainly just to help out during with little areas you miss and also do a little amount of mopping between the times you mop.The same appears true for vacuuming. This thing picks up a good amount of SMALL trash but not everything your regular sized vacuum can. I attempted a napkin and it did pick it up but I later found that the napkin got tangled on the roller inside. It was not too difficult to fix this which was nice.It comes with an extra set of vacuum brushes for replacement as well as a replacement mop cloth.This can be controlled with your phone or the remote. The app was a little tricky to get going but it’s a very nice feature. I found that it not only works over the same WiFi but also over your mobile connection so that means you could start it from wherever you are in the world through the internet, so long as the actual robot is connected to a WiFi signal.The remote and the app allow you to fully control the vacuum which is so wonderful. Think of it as a RC car that a child would play with. It’s best when you want to pick up a mess of crumbs or something and want it to focus on that area only.All in all, especially for the very reasonable price, this seems like a really nice vacuum. I’ve only had it for a day now but I’m liking it a lot and learning a lot about it. The remote also came with batteries, so don’t worry about having to run to the store to get some. Also, the remote and the app are not necessary as there are buttons on the actual vacuum to allow you to do some changes like set the clock, activate WiFi, etc.By the way, the instruction manual that came with it is a little confusing at first because I believed that I had to tighten the brushes before use. It simply was telling me how I would do it if I ever needed to in the future. But a common problem with Chinese products is that the manual is often written poorly due to poor translation. I haven’t seen that in this manual yet. Most everything seems to be worded clearly and understandably.I may buy another to keep this one company if everything goes as smooth as it has so far.I’ll try to update this review if anything comes up in the future.

Not a vacuum. Just a sweeper.

This is my first robotic vacuum. Absolutely fantastic. this robot is amazing! cant believe Iwaited so long to get one of these. I live in a small apartment and run the R570 once everyother day and I have noticed a huge improvement in the cleanliness of not only the floors, butthe air quality. I feel like there is less dust floating around the apartment because of all thevacuuming. Addie sofa, bed, and tables where I would not be able to clean easily with aregular vacuum. Plus, it is much quieter than a regular vacuum. It also can be controlled byMobile APP.I am totally satisfied wtionally, the robot is able to handle some seriously messy floors. I love that itis able to get under thith this purchase, I only wish I bought it sooner!

Bought this "robot" few days ago for my mom in law who has a big house with open floor plan and also very busy. Plan to give this to her as Christmas gift. The actual product including Its function and the "look" exceeded my expection. Works really well for that price compared to other expensive brands.I might get another one for myself later. Good choice of mine.

There are no instructions on which app to use. The vacuum does not return home.
