Great product at just a fraction of the cost of a full bed! If you don’t want to buy expensive tanning packages or have room for a full size bed, this is for you. It’s not as fast as going to a salon, but the results are great. Set up is simple and ours was a little cold at first. There are troubleshooting guidelines for initial start up so try all those before panicking. BE SURE to follow the time guidelines or YOU WILL BURN. Yes, it's expensive...BUT not when you compare to the cost and inconvenience of the alternative of going to a sun tanning salon. This unit packs the power of commercial tanning lights without taking up the space of a tanning bed. It is made of solid, almost entirely steel body, stand, and protective grid. It comes with power cord, two pairs of eye protection, and a guide that gives excellent advice on your exposure schedule.I don't like the idea of using chemicals or skin products meant to help tan, or preserve the length your tan will last. My routine is to shower, towel off, put on the eye protection, set the timer, sit on a pillow in front of the lamp and turn ON the switch. After a few minutes I just spin around to my sides and back, before standing up get my legs, front and back.I opted to start with very short sessions, knowing I wouldn't see any tanning. But the effects on my mood were immediate. The light activates your body's ability to generate natural vitamin D which has helped my mood. Some people take D3 supplements, but most of that is excreted and never absorbed. With the sperti lamp, your own body creates the vitamin D and absorbs it. Having been indoor tanning for several years, I decided to make the move to a portable unit for home use. The Sperti arrived with no damage, good packaging and well written instructions. I have used it several times and will continue to use it. Do not let the small size, compared to a bed, fool you. It actually covers more of your body relative to the size of the unit than you may think. However repositioning the unit and overlapping will enhance your tan. Even if you do tan in a bed, follow the Safety Instructions, Exposure Times and Distance from the lamps. This little guy is powerful and you will not feel the heat from the bulbs which in turn could make you disregard time and distance instructions. Immediate results will not be seen. Follow the instructions and give it a week or so to see results. Use the glasses and keep your eyes closed.

I bought this sunlamp to get ready for vacation and it worked great. It also will help to avoid burns when winter fades and summer arrives. It is more time consuming than going to a salon. Given the size you can only do small areas, BUT it is a fraction of the cost and it was much more convenient for me than going to a salon. Make sure to follow the time guide to avoid burning. The first use took several minutes to turn on, but I haven't had any issues since. In my opinion, it was well worth the investment!

This is a durable product and easy to assemble. When I first plugged it in and turned it on it took a few minutes to power on so you may need to be patient the first time but there should be no more problems after that. Also when I had that issue I called customer service and they were very friendly and helpfulPlease just remember to be cautious and pay attention and follow the directions of the exposure times set in the guide. Eben if you are used to tanning beds. It doesn't take much time at all to achieve results so take care not to burn your skin. Since this unit is smaller than a regular tanning bed it doesn't put out as much heat but the bulbs are definitely still working
