Oreck’s are great
I love Orecks, I would like to advise the company to make them quieter, and maybe even a carbon fiber version. I have used and abused at least 6 in my life time. The worst thing about an Oreck is the noise. Great light weight easy to use affordable vacuum with a real bag that doesn’t blow dust all over your house.

Packaging made me wonder if it's a refurb
I used the upright immediately because it was easy to assemble. However, based on the way it was boxed, with zero padding and everything just laying in the box on top of each other took me aback. Confidence is low that this is a new product even though I specifically clicked on the new option before adding it to my cart.Nothing was damaged, not even the box, but still. I'd like to know there was no smoke and mirrors when I selected "new" and I hope this vacuum doesn't have half-life left. For now on day 1, it works great. More on the cannister when I get it going.

Best, most lightweight work horse of vacuums
This is my 2nd Oreck. We still have the first one we bought 20 years ago, but moved it to our vacation home where it continues to do very well. I thought I’d try out some other vacuums mainly because I bought in to the Dyson hype. The Dyson is heavy, awkward, gross with the dust emptying, and now broken. I also bought a Miele, thinking that German engineering would do well. It has an awful smell that it emits and I can’t get rid of.So now I’ve returned to this old-faithful, awesome, super light marvel that always works, filters the air with its Hepa bags and is the very best for stairs! Be sure to get the canister vacuum along with this so you can do the small stuff like mini-blinds and corners.

FINALLY! Powerful, affordable, tough
I have gone through a few vacuums in the past seven years...yadda yadda yadda...German Shepherds. None held up nor could manage the fur. Many years ago, as a young, young woman, I was a janitor at a massive complex at night. They had the BEST vacuums. I just wanted something industrial but affordable.A friend of mine with 17 horses a few dogs and cats and dozens of kids running in and out of her home recommended the upright. She said with all that dirt and animal hair, it's lasted with NO problems for four years and going strong.I ordered this combo set because I wanted attachments. I am stunned at how powerful these are! The amount of dirt and hair in the bag tells me it's really sucking stuff up. The suction and brush make the carpet look fantastic. The little canister vac is amazing too...so convenient! The hose is so heavy duty and quality and goes right back to shape. I sucked up a shoelace on accident and the belt got pulled off...it was SO easy to access and troubleshoot. And there is one extra belt on the bottom of the vacuum. Both come with one bag. Order extras.I am so happy with this!

Upright good, handheld poor
Upright machine works fine, although not sufficiently dexterous to reach underneath tables and beds. The handheld accessory is a second machine - the attachments don’t fit the upright. Suction and cleaning are terrible. Does not pick up pet hair.

Simple and effective
Arrive on time, was all that was promised and I vacuumed the whole upstairs and third floor attic with ease.

This upright vacation should come withprotection...
Not the quality I loved from my Oreck upright of the 2000's. They've removed sound insulation and the shrill noise scares everything (--dogs, cats, people) within about half a mile. It's beyond annoying. I still really like that the commercial upright is very lightweight. It works well on carpet, rugs and floors, and rolls easily under beds. The extra cord is why this gets 4 stars.

Not satisfied
Not as good as my first one I had. Not good for pet hair, brush picks it up but holds it and it builds up not allowing to pick up other dirt well so constantly picks pet hair out of brush it would be nice if it would suction hair through.
