WilliamsburgArtist Oil Colors by GOLDEN, Payne's Gray, 150 ml tube, Professional Oil Paint, Semi-Opaque

I have previous previously used Williamsburg oils and love them. I found them unmatched for texture and paintability. And their colors are gorgeous. So when I needed a special gold paint I went immediately to Williamsburg. It was very disappointing.At first it just would not even adhere to the canvas almost like it was repelled by it. Eventually I fought with it and used a very long soft brush to kind of spatula on this color. The texture of the paint was very odd -- it's hard to describe. It did not behave like oil paint. First of all it never dried.bI had to take it all off and it just wiped right off like goo. Do not be put off by this -- Williamsburg paint is wonderful. There was just something about this gold paint that did not work.

I have been an oil painter for about 10 years now and of all the brands of paints I have ever used, Williambsurg Oils are the absolute best. Pigment is out of this world and the price could definitely be worse for what you are getting. I paint super thin so a tube will last me forever, and the color sets with the smaller sized tubes work best for me to be able to try new colors without committing to fun sized tubes. The signature color set is beautiful and I would recommend giving ANY Williamsburg colors a try.

I wanted to go with an abstract look that’s involves blending colors nicely. With only linseed oil and being a complete newbie to oil painting I was able to come up with these colors with only these colors provided in the pack. Great for beginners but make sure to use some sort of medium as the paint is rather thick. Now enjoy!!

These colors are gorgeous. As soon as they arrived, I added two shades of ochre and some black to an etching i had done of the dog. I can’t wait to actually paint on canvas with them. The viscosity is perfect and the hues are so rich.

Williamsburg is always a fine paint to use. I got this nice set to give as a Xmas gift. It arrived quickly, well-packed, a pretty little box. Will make a wonderful gift. I use Williamsburg paints myself and love them. I recommend highly.

Best butter oil paints! Highly recommend! These are worth paying for the smooth texture and mixture of pigment and binder leads to easier painting that is smooth and vibrant! My favorite paints!

I'm thinking this product didn't pass inspection by the manufacturer, Williamsburg paints, which is a highly reputable company. Somehow this bad one was scooped up by amazon, kept in their warehouse until some poor sucker…me…decided to buy it from Amazon instead of Williamsburg. In my defense, I did check with the manufacturer first, and Williamsburg was out of stock with no date that it would be available. Possibly they were discontinuing it because it never dries…not slow drying, but NE.VER!!! So, I returned it. Hopefully it won't be sold to some other sucker.

As a professional artist, I love this paint for adding a golden shine to my artwork. You’ll need a several coats for the gold to be truly opaque or to have a base cost and the gold over top of it (as seen in my attached artwork). Otherwise one coat acts as a glistening sheen in the sunlight. It’s expensive, but just a touch of gold in any artwork makes all the difference. I highly recommend!

Only the white is 37ml the other colours are about11ml, absolutely tiny!!

Pretty expensive for what it is but they are great paints. Just be aware of what you're buying, the tubes are tiny.
