Very happy with purchase
It is as described, it's made strong with high quality standards. It holds a good edge. It feels comfortable in the hand it works amazing at cutting off branches and doing utility work. It is lighter, so it is good to pack. You're not carrying so much weight,

Simple and Cheap
The handle and shape arrived as pictured, though it took a long time to arrive. The product is simple and if used as part of a costume, it is adequate. The blade is not sharp with a ~1.5 mm blunted blade cutting edge that would need sharpening if used as a camping axe. The thickness of the blade is and even 5 mm for the first 50 mm length of a total 83 mm from the cutting edge then gradually gets thicker as it wraps around the handle. With a few chops the head started to start to slip off despite having a good looking wedge. The stain job is amazing. The handle has some slight 45 degree beveling that adds to the attractiveness of this simple axe. This is not a good axe for throwing, better for costumes, less good for camping. If you don't have high expectations you will be pleasantly surprised by this axe. If the axe were presented as a costume axe I would give it four stars. I will give it a solid three stars and note that it is only 16 inches long.

Feels like a decent made piece.
Just received this today, so I have not gotten a chance to do any work with it.The weight and size is exactly what I wanted for a hiking axe. This is light weight so you won’t be building any cabins……but it’s perfect for a small pack axe. I would think someone could use it as a good throwing axe as well. Handle grain is properly oriented and the is a metal wedge holding the head on. No epoxy or other crap to cover up poor craftsmanship. This eye of the axe is straight and the cheeks are flat an narrow. You could easily chop finger sized saplings and would prob be fine for greenwood up to a few inches thick. Love the shape of the handle, though it could be a smidge thicker especially at the palm swell. But it fits well in the hand and I cannot fault the tool just because of my hand size. It’s really more of a hawk except for the way the head is hung. The head also appears to be forged and well done at that. This is not a cheap cast piece. The only real issue I can fault this for is the fact that it is so dull, it would probably struggle with cold butter. It’s no problem for me to sharpen it up and narrow the angle of the grind, but be mindful if you do not know how to work a bevel. It will need more than I would want to do with a hand stone or diamond stones. I’ll prob have to sand it down with a belt sander and then work down from there……it’s so dull. Think hatchet at harbor freight dull. It would be nice to have a mask (guard or sheath) for the blade. I’ll have to make something for it. No biggie. I know there are some that will work here on Amazon as well.Either way, I’m very pleased with it upon first inspection.

DULL CHILDS TOY
DULL CHILDS TOY. The blade is half the size of my hand. This thing is just barely strong enough to be used on a charcuterie board. Pretty dissatisfied

Beautiful work.
Definitely comes dull so you can use it for costume, cosplay, or Larping if that is your bag. But as I will be using it for an actual camp hachet/tomahawk, I put an edge on there and it works like a charm. The handle feels smooth and has a soft grip and is long enough to grab with two hands, and the blade is not too heavy.I love it. And I thoroughly enjoy sharpening blades and always plan to sharpen any kind of axe or knife I buy anyway, so having to do so here was not an issue. Therapy ;)For the price, it’s perfect.

Arrived with a wobble.
Will need some tinkering, but you get what you pay for.

Great Pack Ax
Nice little tomahawk for a back pack. Small size is a good thing for this use case. If you want to fell trees get something else. This is good for small branches and splitting tender. On the negative side the blade was extremely dull, almost ground flat. Plan on grinding it and sharpening it yourself. May biggest complaint is as comfortable as the curve handle is I wish it was more of a traditional tomahawk design with a straight handle that the head slips on from the bottom so there is no need for a wedge. As a result the head was kind of loose and at risk of coming off. Had to add additional wedges. Will likely replace the handle with a custom one. For the price just getting the head of this size is pretty good. I like that the head doesn't come with any company logos or goofey markings.
