Solid Build, Handy Size, Knock-off Power Poles
A solid bit of kit, made of metal, and a very handy size for semi-permanent use on your bench, of for the field.The power poles, however, are knock-offs (the Anderson patent for these connectors expired in 1983 - but the copyright for "Powerpole" remains in effect). The housings appear similar. The contacts are different; the ferules have a more triangular shape than the Anderson products and the profile and the shape of the blade are different. I'm not sure if the contacts and housings can be inter-mixed.

Solid little distribution block
I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and solid build quality when I unpacked this little distribution block. The fact that it includes a set of Powerpoles with thick vinyl boots is a nice plus. Overalll, a nice addition to my mobile/portable ham rig.One note: this distribution block is unfused. This may or may not be appropriate for other mobile configurations. In my case, the cables running from the battery have inline fuses, as do my transceivers' power cables.

Excellent build and very handy
Outstanding product. You don’t see products built this well much anymore. Super handy and use it for portable radio communications all the time. Housing is NOT cheap plastic and heavy duty.
