Sudbury320 Elastomeric Marine Sealant, 3-Ounce, White

If you boat is fiberglass or Ropelene; this is the best sealant to use. I use it as a gasket and to seal when using screws. Does not leak when properly applied!

Unlike the 3M, this adhesive holds well on plastic boats but doesn't get rock hard. And it does stick to plastic better than anything I've used in the past.

This is the only product that worked to fix our hot tub crack! I tried everything else, Weld, plastic, magic tape, etc., it all came off. This stuff does discolor, but is the only thing that has held on the interior of our hot tub over a rather large crack.

The unit had a hole in it when I received it. The hole does not appear to have occurred due to shipping/packaging (i.e., it was already there prior to shipping). I have other bottles of Sudbury Elastomeric and it is a fine sealant for boats.

I feel the quality of this product is probably quite good, and I originally purchased it based on its high ratings. Unfortunately when I went to use it the back of the tube popped open at the seam spilling caulk everywhere and making a huge mess. One reviewer even made a point to say how he was able to use it multiple times, but with the back end popping open I was forced to throw it away. A waste of time and money.

The absolute best sealant available that I know of. Great adhesive properties with metal, PVC, and Roplene (polyethylene). I used some 10 years ago on a boat and it shows no signs of degradation. Toss the silicone and move up to a better solution. Cost more than silicone? Sure. But you get what you pay for.

Best sealant I have ever used and I repair a lot of boats, it even sticks to starboard!!!! Clean with alcohol first
