I know there are a ton of publishers putting out this book but this has to be one you seriously consider. First off the cover is great,the hardcover a nice grey with black spine and gold lettering. So its going to look good in the collection. Next is the content of the book. While it is "The Art of War" much like the other versions out there this one adds to it. The commentary provided after each chapter is a great aid in fully absorbing what this book has to teach. Not everything is quick and easy to absorb but the commentary helps the learning process along. While I didn't care much for the Sun Pin half it is there in the same book which is a plus along with the useful commentary. I have to say when I first saw this version of the book I couldn't get through the check out line fast enough. The book itself regardless of this copy or any of the others should be a "MUST READ" for anyone interested in military history as its almost impossible to not run into Sun Tzu references. If need be buy one of the cheaper copies out there but make sure to bookmark this one when you can buy a step up.

The book I bought was brand new and it was wrapped up in the original plastic. Watch out for other "Art of War" books because they are priced three times the actual cost of the book and it is not even the complete book. There is a lot to read but I will take my time since this is more of a personal growth book for me along with history, which requires note taking and rereading.

It's the book. But different cover art? Missing the sleeve I'm assuming since it is "used/brandnew" a little dissapointed due to the price.Also dimensions are unique. Which I'll have to get used to

The complete art of war translation includes not only the traditional art of war but also Sun Pin's tactician's writing. This book expands greatly on the art of warfare and deception. It is a masterpiece to any leader's collection.

I was very pleased to have purchased this item, and would do it again. I had never been able to catch the whole thing before. I was pleased. The seller was great, and there were not any shipping issues. I would use the same seller again!
