Prehistoric Sea Beasts (If Extinct Beasts Came to Life)

My son is in a phase of loving all sea creatures alongside dinosaurs. This little book hit the mark and he really enjoyed reading it and looking at the pictures. It's not too many pages to lose interest, but not too few to not be worth it. He's between 1st and 2nd grade so I think this book was great for that age. He has so many dinosaur books that you never know if anything will be repeated information, or the the same popular dinosaurs/creatures as other books, but he learned some new scientific animal names within this book which was great.

I payed $27 and change for what is a children book for a 7 year old of 32 pages!!! This book was misrepresented, I want to return it!!

Initial impressions were "blimey for such a thin book, it sure was expensive". There are something like 32 pages in this book, and they're both beautiful and well put together, but other books on sharks (for example) are considerably longer for the price. I guess to quote my wife, "this is a niche area of interest" and perhaps there isn't that much information available at a child friendly level.I think as it's a present, we'll add something else. Size isn't always indicative of price, but I think it looks from the cover to have cost a bit less than we paid (circa £6.20)... maybe I'm just out of touch with the cost of books and particularly childrens books though.

He reaaally loved this book. I read it every night for three weeks at bedtime. Then we lost it and he was inconsolable so I had to buy another. The way they show the scale in the pictures is really good for their imagination ( at that age metres and kilos don't mean much!)

Great for kids, good pictures and lots of interesting facts. My son loves it but he wishes there was more beasts in the book :D
