Inserts could stand to have better support

I find them very comfortable, especially for hiking shoes. I haven’t hiked yet but they are good for daily wear. They can get a bit hot with thick socks.

The media could not be loaded.  These are my go to hiking shoe. They’ve been worn on at least 10 trips so far and still look perfect. The tongue is connected until just below the top of where it shows which helps keep small rocks, mud, and sand out. They’re definitely waterproof and easy to clean off if they get super muddy. Just step in a puddle, shake it around and you’re set, and still dry! Also super comfortable for long trips. I’ve worn them for a 3 day hiking/camping trip and they never bothered me once. They’re very grippy especially when going downhill. Being someone with knee and foot/ankle pain, I’ve tried many hiking boots and inserts to try to minimize the overall discomfort. These shoes alone have helped so much I can do full day trips without ever complaining of my feet hurting. 110% recommend!!!! Worth every penny.

Really have liked these Salomon hiking shoes, am a repeat customer. Very good support and comfort for hiking and walking in a wide variety of environments. It may be my imagination but my recent pairs are less waterproof (an important factor in purchase) than an earlier pair (predecessor model). My first pair made it through swampy terrain without leaking until the shoe cracked. My recent purchases have given me wet feet when my only exposure was heavy dew and light squih. Just re-treated with a ninwax product and am going to put on my muck boots more frequently as a result. Second, they tend to wear out for me at the heel which shortens life or requires duct tape - like so many people my feet are wider through the insole than at the heel. Wish they would modify the last to make it tighter fitting there.

These hiking shoes are amazing. I suffer with foot pain, but not after hiking my usual 5 miles. They are roomy, but that is great for my toes. My feet are much better off. I wear a size 9 medium for reference.

Beautifully made high quality shoe but it runs quite narrow!

Worn Salomon X-Mission Trail Running shoes for years. Hoped these would be a comparable waterproof option. They are too heavy and clunky for me. Not a keeper.

I really liked the great reviews on this shoe, but I also saw reviews about the issue I now have with the pair I just received, where there are with tears at the tongue opening. I was hoping I'd get one of the "good ones" but no such luck with this pair.

Der Schuh macht im ersten Moment einen sehr guten Eindruck. Schaut man aber genauer hin, ist vor allem der Eingangsbereich sehr unprofessional verarbeitet. Zunge und Schaft sehen aus wie mit der Hand genäht und der Rand ist nicht eingefasst. Die Einlegesohle ist ohne Stützfunktion und nur ein einfacher Schaumstoff.Nachdem ich eine hochwertige Sohle eingelegt habe ist das Lauferlebnis verbunden mit der sehr gut griffigen Lauf-Sohle trotz aller Mängel, so gut, dass ich den Schuh behalte.Größe muss man, wie schon erwähnt, größer wählen. Ich trage normalerweise 38 und habe die 38 2/3 gekauft. Passt gut, könnte aber evtl. sogar 39 1/3 tragen.Wasserdichtigkeit konnte ich auf Grund der Witterung leider noch nicht testen.

Seit Jahren kaufe ich Salomon Schuhe wegen der für mich optimalen Passform. Leider ist dieses Modell ungewöhnlich breit geschnitten weshalb ich nicht den optimalen Halt im Schuhe habe. Da der Grip der Sohle allerdings sehr gut ist und die Schuhe bequem sind behalte ich sie trotzdem - für das Gassi ausreichend.
