The Legental PL LED replacement lamp is a good option to upgrade old fluorescent fixtures to more efficient use. The claim is that these are "Plug in Play" which may be the case for some lamps but not OttLite. When I first tried the bulb it lit, flickered then stopped working. Tried several more times and same action. Initially I was going to return the items but I decided to send a note to the seller telling of my experience. I received a very prompt reply questioning the power supply of the OttLite but also offering a quick replacement. I examined the supply and found it to be a proper design but since I had already opened the unit I just removed the whole supply and did a straight 120VAC wiring for the new lamp. Works perfectly, very bright, draws very little current and has a good degree of dispersion throughout the lamp. Modified my other fixture and have been using them with no issues.While not exactly as advertised the response by the seller and quality of the lamp deserves the 4 stars. Would have been 5 save for the claim.

And so bright. Replacing the old halogen bulb with an LED was so easy with this product.

This looks just like the fluorescent bulbs it replaced, but I was hoping for something a bit brighter and less yellow. It turns on without flickering at least.

New bulb base where pins are is more rectangular than oval so depending on your lamp, it may not fit and may damage lamp if an install is attempted. You can check by seeing how close your current bulb fits into the receptacle. If the lamp has a tight close rim curve around the base of the bulb it may not fit without modification.When the bulb was installed initially it messed up the bulb connections in desk lamp because the new bulb base is more rectangular while the old base is more oval. This caused the bulb to go in at an angle which bent the bulb connections in the lamp preventing them from working any longer.After first install, desk lamp would no longer work.To fix the desk lamp, notches had to be cut in the lamp's curved plastic bulb support trim to make room for the less curved bulb base. The lamp also had to be dismantled to fix the connections that had been bent by the initial install for the bulb to finally work.Now that it works, it is a nice product.No longer get the pop when turning on the lamp.According to the watt meter it uses 5.5w which is 7.5w less than the old CFL bulb.It feels about twice as heavy as the old CFL bulb but the desk lamp seems to be able to manage it.

Was so excited to replace the two burn out bulbs in my hanging shop light. The price is great the build is absolutely outstanding the LEDs are nice structures good smooth but for some reason they would not work in my device. So make sure that you can bypass your ballast or your set up in your unit before purchasing these.They are definitely high quality

As we move towards LEDs, I wanted to replace a burned out fluorescent bulb for my Panasonic bathroom fan. The PLUG & PLAY option was the way to go as I did not want to remove the ballast (although I can remove a ballast -thanks Dad for being an electrician!). The only issue is that these bulbs are longer than the originals. I found that with a little gentle work, I could make them fit by removing the cover and then sliding these up and then replacing the cover.The light is good. Seems to work fine. Lights work well, and amazingly did not require any changes other than the bulb to go to LED. I was able to to leave the ballast intact. It seems to work with or without the flouescent ballast.
