Yes summertime is here and rain to go along with it so we have to be careful about mosquitoes and yellow flies so I pick up a small on to go by our back door and she is amazed how good this light works.

I bought this for my basement. My husband leaves the doors open when he gets his lawn equipment out and bugs fly in. Because our son is very sensitive, we didn't want to use chemicals to get rid of them. This is a much better option. It attracts the bugs and then zaps them. Cleaning it is very simple because it has a little pull-out drawer where the dead bugs collect.

I was surprised with the store response, I did not expect any action from this store, boy, I was wrong!!A few days after my initial review I got an E-mail from the store offering a free replacement without asking any more questions other than my shipping address.A new zapper arrived less than a week later. Thank you!!I have had this zapper for a few months now, it worked find for a while until the grill insulation/spacers star coming off and the grill started to spark more often than usual (Silly me, in the beginning I thought it was trapping more insects.), the space between the grill bars was getting smaller; I was able to "Fix it" with rubber bands and it kept working for a while longer, now it stopped working at all.

This was purchased because the mosquitos are so bad. It was zapping left and right. Great value!

It's got a short cord. It does kill bugs if they fly into the light. Not usually mosquitoes, just moths. We find it just attracts moths like a light. We stopped using it after a few times because it made no difference with the mosquitoes even sitting right next to us.

This zapper definitely works well! I have it in the kitchen where I had a problem with knats. Now I don’t see them. I sure do hear them getting zapped & that’s fine with me. Knats or fruit flies are very annoying.

Maintenance is just as easy and all that is really required is weekly dumping of the insect catch tray and cleaning of the grill. I will typically be cleaning it more frequently living in a high-insect region. It is also extremely lightweight and can be hung or placed on a flat surface. Very happy with this purchase!
