the sponges came as a pack of 2, a black one and white one. i personally do not know if there was a difference between them or not but i chose the black one to start with.the good: amazing feel on my face and marked improvement on my oily skin issue and pimples that kept popping up.the bad: the sponge got dry (my fault) and deteriorated quickly.lesson learned, i am on the white one now and will be more careful. will order a backup pair shortly as well, as this has elevated my routine and complements my la mer face wash and toner perfectly.

I have a beauty blogger friend who has been raving about konjac sponges lately, so I couldn't wait to try these sponges from Grace & Stella. I really like them! Here are my pros and cons:PROS* I love having one for day and one for night. I can leave the night one by my sink and the day one in the shower (which means no getting out of the shower when I'm already wet after realizing I've forgotten the sponge--haha!)* Great exfoliation. My skin feels really smooth after using these! My makeup even goes on better after using them because my skin feels so awesome.* When used with soap/cleanser, these work up a really amazing lather. I found myself having to use less cleanser than normal because I was rinsing a lot of cleanser out of the sponge.* Very soft (softer than I expected it to be, actually). I found these safe to use around my eyes. They also softened very quickly.CONS* I did not find these great for removing dark makeup (e.g., eye liner, mascara). I like them better for gentle cleansing and exfoliation. When I had lots of makeup on, I found them most effective if I did my usual oil cleanse first, then followed up with this and a bit of soap to wash away the oil. In the mornings (when I wasn't wearing makeup), I'd use this with a bit of cleanser and it worked great. The exfoliation seems to be where this really shines.* The white sponge seems to have a strange smell that the black sponge didn't have. This smell went away after a day or so of use.* The little string this has for hanging is flimsy. I accidentally ripped one of them out the first day when I pulled on it a bit too hard. Oops. :)* They seem to take a long time to dry, which was surprising to me because I live in Arizona where everything drys super fast. Not really a con, but I wonder about moisture retention and possible mildew inside the sponge. Since these are meant to be tossed after a month or so (and the affordable price will allow you to replace them often), this isn't a huge concern for me.

I will be writing a completely unbiased review in here, I have been buying these konjac sponges for years to wash my face because I like them and have enjoyed how they work, etc... I have bought from many different brands and usually I try to look for ones that are completely natural or as natural as possible, the more natural ones usually have a smaller size and are less processed or seem less processed than the other ones. I took a picture for comparison with another one I haven't used and this one is easily much bigger in size first of all, you can notice the difference in colours as well and shape too, the older one I had looks a lot more rough and smaller, this one looks a lot bigger, more circular but also looks almost too perfect, and doesn't have any rough patches which leads me to believe it is processed and less natural, I am going to have to look for the brand I used to buy before because I was also looking particularly for a face sponge not a body one and when they get wet the difference in size is obviously very extremely different. Overall not impressed or surprised of this. Finally this product got bought twice no idea why from my orders and I only got one for the price of 2! Also amazon is not letting me upload my image when I came back to edit my comment apparently the picture is gone now and unable to reupload it. Such a cheap product!

Works really well

I am absolutely obsessed! This is a truly an ideal product for travelers. I’m always looking for the most compact yet stylish and earth friendly buys, so these sponges are great. I brought them on my trips to Africa and Bali etc. I do admit they do get a little squishy and retain a lot of water when wet, but when you’re traveling abroad its never a good idea to ingest (their) water so I find it actually helpful that I don’t have to go through a whole water bottle just for my face. When you squeeze the water out they dry up and shrink and since it’s like a sponge it gets so hard you don’t “need” it to be in a plastic bag 💪🏼😂👏🏼

I'm leaving reviews under my bf's account bcs I bought it through his Amazon but I so loved these!!! The package comes w 2 so I left the black one for end of day and the light one in the shower..I still use face wash but the texture exfoliates and helps remove waterproof or long wear make up.Use it in the mornings and after work and my face feels lovely and soft. My bf uses it too!!!!! He found it in the shower one day and now is a daily user so 2 thumbs up for even getting my bf on it!I make sure I remove all the be soap from it and hang them to dry, it's been a month and I can easily see these lasting more than 2 w care. I would def recommend, esp if you struggle w skin issues bcs it's a natural exfoliant added to your routine.

At first when you open the package they're hard so I'm thinking this can't be right. lol The instructions say to soak them in warm water till they soften. The plump up nicely and soften. These sponges are so soft and gentle it doesn't feel like it's doing anything. I paired it with this argan oil facial peel. My face was so soft and rejuvenated. I live in Arizona and due to the heat your skin dries up quickly and you almost have to exfoliate your skin. I had a dry patch on the end of my nose and it took the old dead skin right off. I also have a patch on my elbow. I thought let me see how that works. I was surprised. I will definitely buy these again and recommend them to friends and family..

I like that they are nice and soft yet still exfoliate the skin and make it feel smooth. I dont like that after initial soaking once it dried out it shrunk but after soaking again it seemed to come back alright.I wish the life span of the sponges weren't affected by using cleanser with them but I found you really dont need cleanser, for me anyway, I washed my face then used the sponge. It didnt leave my face dry or oily, just right but I don't normally have oily skin either. I think it'll be a different experience for each person depending on their own skin.

These konjac sponges are the best I've ever purchased, for the simple fact that they don't take 5 mins to rehydrate. I've had ones you had to soak for so long I'd get tired of waiting to go to bed and would end up using my makeup remover cloth instead. (Admittedly, I'm impatient.)These rehydrate in just about a minute, in a little ramequin of water.They're very soft on your face (which has always made me wonder how konjac sponges exfoliate) and work well with a cream face cleanser. They do suggest you take your makeup off first before using the konjac sponge, which I do.There's a nifty little string attached so you can hang them to dry.

I found them odd at first as the sponges were slimy but after researching into konjac, I don’t mind them as much as they’re derived from a natural product. I found the sponges durable and able to be reused multiple times without falling apart. I also found the price to be decent and in this economy, we must support small businesses. I checked out the vendor’s website and they’re so cute so I would recommend checking out their other products as well :)

I wanted this sponge to help remove my makeup after cleansing, since I would find that using my hands still left foundation on my face. This sponge is excellent for just that. It bubbles up right after applying cleanser and removes all dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. You can use the sponge every day for regular cleansing as well, and it works wonders! I didn’t think it would improve my skin so so much, but it really did. I’ve been using it for about a month now, and my skin is softer, smoother, there’s less redness, and there’s a significant difference in my acne scars. Since using this product, my acne has cleared up sooo so much. I’m so thankful for this product and will continue using it forever. Screw those electric cleaning brushes, this is what you need to try.

I have been using konjac sponges for over one year now. I love the texture, the durability and my skin loves them. I have tried various cleansing sponges and facial brushes. Honestly, there is no going back and trying other cleansing tools...konjac sponges or nothing! Stella and Grace's sponges are reasonably priced and appear to be of good quality. Even though I haven't actually used this brand as of yet (I still have my other ones that I am using) they look and feel good.
