Good starter machine
So I'm new to detecting and I didnt have the money to spend on a higher end detector yet. So as a starter I decided to buy this one. It was pretty easy to set up. It's super light weight. I like how it has a lot of features that some of the higher end models have. I also like how it's water proof. It does feel a little bit flimsy and cheap but It works well enough considering the price. I've used it the past couple days. I did notice sometimes it doesnt always pick up a target on the first swing while open air testing. Kind of concerning as the point of a metal detector is to find metal objects that you dont know are there. Although there is a bunch of settings for sensitivity and discrimination to play with, so I cant exactly blame the machine yet. I will say, it doesnt do it all the time and I have found tons of stuff while detecting in my yard. Sometimes you'll get a little beep and have to keep swinging in the general area to try and find it again and the numbers will jump all over the place. These are usually junk items such as pull tabs, bits of metal flashing, iron, etc. But ricomax does say in the instructions that this will sometimes happen with junk targets. Every coin or decent thing I've found does seem to have a consistent beep and number. Also the accuracy of the number for the target seems to be pretty spot on. So I think it's just a matter of learning how the machine works and getting used to the different tones and how the machine acts to certain targets... Same as most machines I'm guessing. The depth of which it can find a target seems pretty decent. So far I think the deepest thing I've found was about 8". Not too bad. Overall I think this is a good starter machine with good features, good depth, and decent accuracy, and for the price you really can't ask for more. I would definitely reccomend this to someone who wants to get started detecting and doesnt have a bunch of money to spend on a higher end unit. It will absolutely get you out swinging, finding things, and having fun in the process.

FOUND MY PROPERTY MARKERS EASILY AND SAVED ME $$$
EASY TO SET UP AND USE MAKES A LOT OF DIFFERENT SOUNDS FOR DIFFERENT METTELS AND IS QUITE SENSITIVE BUT WHEN YOU FIND SOME THING WITH MASS LIKE A SOLID IRON ROD IT REALY GOES OFF AT FIRST I WAS CHECKING EVERY LITTLE BEEP THEN I DECIDED TO TEST IT ON SOME DIFFERENT OBJECTS TO SEE WHAT ITS RESPOSE WOULD BE THIS HELPED A LOT

Easy to use!
I love how easy this is to use. I have used it multiple times and it was fun and entertaining. I definitely think it is a great value for the price! It comes with a carrying bag, shovel, and headphones. Everything you need! My family and I enjoyed getting out and exploring with this metal detector. It is adjustable and easy to transport making it very versatile.

Beginners Detector
I am a beginner in metal detecting and this is my first one, so I opted for this model since it had good reviews. However, a lot of the reviews were by Vine reviewers, so I'm not entirely sure if they're reliable. The price seems a bit steep considering the glitches. In terms of performance, I had a decent experience with it. I tried it out in my backyard and found some bottle caps and tin. The headphones are low quality and the adjustable headset wouldn't stay in place on one side, but they functioned well enough. The Pin Point button on the detector tended to glitch and have issues when I tried to use it.On the bright side, the weight of the detector is surprisingly light, which is a plus. I also appreciated the inclusion of a survival tool/shovel, which worked great. The carrying case feels a bit flimsy, but it's holding up well and easily fits everything inside (although you do have to retract the metal detector completely to make it fit).Overall, I would recommend this model for other beginners like me. While it does have some glitches and the price is high, it still functions pretty well and comes with some useful accessories.

My first metal detector - a nice product - well worth it!
I wish I'd had this as a teenager when I lived in a house where the first part of the house was first built in the 1700s and was the first hotel/inn in a Westchester County NY town. I bet I'd have discovered a lot. But those days are long gone, and I doubt as a kid I'd have been able to afford a metal detector with my babysitting money anyway. Where I live now, though, is an area in another state where there was a lot of revolutionary war activity and a lot of settlement activity since then so this will be an adventure. I wish I lived in England, though, because youtube videos from England and Scotland and their finds are the best and that's what led me to look further into this (as well as the series "Detectorists" which I'd give 5 stars if reviewing it). But, still, this is working just great, and I'm enjoying it already. It's pinpoint feature is very nice, I'm not sure I'm even going to need the separate pin-pointer that I bought. Also, it was very easy to assemble and came with a little pick/shovel, a set of earphones, and a bag to carry the detector. It's a very good deal. The only feature it doesn't have is a depth finder, but I don't expect it to work like a $1,000 detector and it's doing great - it's a VERY good deal for the money spent on it, especially if it lasts awhile. Well worth it!

Good sensitivity, quick work
My first mission was to find my lot line stakes and water supply valve. Both are buried under at least 6" of dirt. This quickly located all of them at the middle of its sensitive range. The metal classifier gave readings consistent with iron, as expected, so it worked well. The coil enclosure can separate easily but it snaps right back into place.I wish it had a volume control. The buttons are dome membrane type. The display is a monochrome LCD.The pole assembled quickly and easily.
