This is Marionberry jam heaven. I’m from Oregon. Although I’ve lived on the East Coast for many years. I still crave Marionberry products, especially jam. We used to buy many jars on our annual trips—always risking broken jars spreading jam throughout our suitcase. Now we can buy the best online. We will never buy another brand

This past Christmas was the first time I was introduced to Marionberry jam, however, it was a different brand than this one. I thought all jams were the same…not quite so. This particular brand comes in a blended form with seeds, more like a preserve. The brand my sister had was completely smooth with no seeds, or anything else for that matter. Kind of like the difference between the two types of cranberry sauces at Thanksgiving. One smooth, the other, not. Both being called sauces. I digress! You just need to make sure that it specifies that whichever brand you buy, it is seedless. Obviously, I can’t name brands here. It’s important to note…this jam DOES taste good!! MOST, if not all, marionberry jams come from Oregon so it narrows it down for you and they are organic! They all taste great!! I’m a stickler for the texture of smooth jam! The prices vary but they are pretty reasonable considering it’s a regional brand product and not a large scale seller. I urge anyone who loves blackberries to try this jam! It’s deep, rich and flavorful! Best of all, not terribly sweet.

How to rate something that is a matter of taste? I'm not going to eat this because it is much too sweet and the flavor is just orange juice, which is what it's made of, so not really marmalade. It's like orange juice jam with lots of soft peel. The marmalade I am used to and which I like has a slightly bitter taste, which is how orange peel actually tastes, and it's made with the entire orange, not orange juice concentrate. Now I am stuck with three jars of this, one opened. I'll give the unopened two away. Live and learn.
