Dickie ToysRescue Hybrids Sky Patroller - 35cm. White 4x4 vehicle accurately scaled to 1:64

I picked this up as an extra present for my son’s birthday, so it hasn’t been completely removed from it’s packaging yet, but first impressions seem very positive.Although made from plastic, it does have a good strong feel to it and isn’t made from that flimsy plastic that feels like it will break after a week or so.The rescue copter is a decent size at around 35cm in length and has various flashing lights and sounds that are activated by pressing the buttons located on the top.The canopy opens to allow the rescue SUV to fit inside and as the canopy is opened/closed, it causes the wings to fold/unfold automatically.On the bottom of the vehicle is a hook, to allow the included rescue basket to be attached (the SUV can also be placed in here) and finally is the feature my son will love the most – 2 cannons mounted under the wings that have removable containers that you can remove and then fill with water which will then fire when squeezed.***** In The Box *****1 x Sky Patroller1 x SUV1 x Basket2 x Water Cannisters***** Conclusion *****My little boy hasn’t received this toy just yet, but I can immediately see that he will love playing with it.It seems well constructed and of good quality, so should survive the inevitable bumps and knocks.The action of the wings/canopy is a nice feature, as is the hook and of course the water firing cannons are going to be a huge hit.It is worth noting that the Sky Patroller is part of a series of different vehicles, each of which can be clipped together, so I’m sure I will have requests for more vehicles once my son sees them.

I ordered this product for my 8 year old nephew. And where it is quite a nice toy, it’s very much in the ‘just ok’ category for me.The toy consists of a helicopter, 2 water pumps, a car and a station for the car. You are able to put the car into the helicopter where children can then use their imagination and pretend to take off.It has a couple of extra features- by pressing the buttons on the top the toy is able to light up and make sounds, but I feel the sounds are very limited and the duration is not long enough, which I feel would lead to young children needing to be pressing the button a lot for the toy to make sounds.The toy is also able to shoot water out of each piston it has on each side of the toy.You can collect other items from the range I.e. a fire engine. It does look like the collection all links together, but it definitely would be expensive to expand the collection.The toy is sturdy and durable and my nephew loves the fact that it can squirt water. This is the main positive for me and the reason I didn’t give it lower than 3 stars.Age range is 3+ which I do feel is appropriate and is aimed more at this age range than other children.Overall a nice product, but very limited in what the toy actually does. It certainly doesn’t feel worth the over £30 price tag for it sadly.

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic quality, really sturdy plastic. My grandson absolutely loves this and has dropped it multiple times and it has been able to withstand that. It is lightweight enough for little hands to hold and the sound effects are realistic. Definitely recommend!

I got this patroler toy for my 6y.o son to play with and he loves it.A good size sky patroller with some cool features it actually did more than i was expecting it to do.You can open the cockpit on the front and fit the supplied car into the cockpit when you open it the wings also move up and when you close cockpit wings go back down.You press button on the top for selection of sounds and also lights flash on the top.There is a hook on the bottom that you can attach a basket to the supplied car also will fit in the basket.There are also 2 yellow water tanks that go into the back of 2 water cannons on either side of the patroller fill the water tanks up and once fastened I to place squeeze them and they fire out the water. So this is when you need to be prepared to get wet.I did think the water feature was going to be a press button rather than manual squirting but its Still fun.I think most kids would enjoy playing with this toy and also there are other toys in the range you can buy to go with it.
