1) Yes, the Def-Tech 1.3% is about the most powerful pepper spray you can buy. The only other one that is close is the Fox Labs 5.3.2) The "360" designation of this model means that the liquid is contained in a separate internal "bag", which is surrounded by the compressed gas. This allows you to get reliable spraying at sideways and upside down angles, which is very nice to have in a "weapon", as who knows what angle you might be able to get this into in a conflict.3) These larger, round canisters (MK2, MK3, MK4), along with their larger flip tops, are the quickest to fire, most reliable and durable personal chemical weapon dispensers available. Yes, they are a bit tougher to carry in a pocket or bag compared to the smaller MK6 or various twist top canisters, but they are well worth carrying if you can manage the size (its a weapon, and speed, reliability and range are critical to ALL weapons... don't sacrifice any of those factors, if you don't absolutely have to!)4) Some states (like California) still limit the amount/volume of liquid in a canister that a private citizen can own. In CA, the max is 2oz... which makes the MK3 canister the max size (at 3oz, the MK4 is over that limit, which could get you in trouble with law enforcement). There is no limit to canister volume in CA for registered security officers with an OC permit, or local or federal law enforcement.5) Some pepper spray here on Amazon is listed as "Prime" shipping, while others are not. Keep in mind that by Federal Law, ALL pepper spray has to ship via ground shipping, so.. it's going to take 5 days to get to you, no matter how it is shipped. If the pepper spray is not listed as Prime, but is still free shipping (like this 360 version here currently is listed), then it really doesnt matter that it is not prime shipping. I used this exact spray on a man who was incredibly intoxicated and was trying to stab his wife with a very large kitchen knife with at least a 9” blade. It stopped him dead in his tracks, he tried to run away and didn’t get very far until he stopped, dropped to knees and began rubbing his face in the wet grass attempting to wipe the spray off of his face. Needless to say, his efforts failed miserably. Anaheim police came out, arrested him for domestic violence and credited me for saving the woman’s life. The man was transported to the hospital due to the level of pain he was in while cuffed to the gurney. I did capture the entire incident on video, gave a copy to the police and an officer made it a point to find me the next day just to say “GOOD JOB” after he reviewed the video himself. The officer then said that I not only convinced him to start carrying spray again (he stopped because of poor results) but he started carrying this exact same brand the very next day. I carry this everywhere I’m legally allowed to and I carry the maximum OZ size and strength allowed by California state law. It’s VERY effective and I trust this spray with my life! Unfortunately, I have used it for legitimate defensive purposes several times and it has never failed me! But, keep in mind, if you use this product or any other pepper spray/mace products without solid justification, it is a felony and can land you in serious legal trouble as well as severe civil liabilities. Be smart when carrying and using these type of products. It’s for self DEFENSE ONLY!Also, I would strongly check with your state and see what the laws are in carrying and using pepper spray. I believe in some states it’s illegal to even possess pepper spray or Mace.When using any pepper spray or mace products in self defense situations, you ALWAYS firstly stay calm! But, you want to spray the attacker’s face in a “Z” pattern if possible. Meaning, first pass of the “Z” pattern going across the face hitting the attacker directly in both eyes, then, then second pass of the “Z” spraying the attacker in the nose hitting both nostrils, and the last pass of the “Z” pattern, spraying the attacker in the mouth! If you do that, the attacker will regret every life decision ever made, will fall to the ground in pain and will not get back up and will remain there until police arrive. Secondly, if you do spray someone. CALL 9-1-1 and STAY there if safe to do so. If you leave and do not call the police, you’re looking at possible criminal charges. If you de leave for safely reasons, at least stay close enough to where it is safe and call the police. When they arrive just tell them why it wasn’t safe for you to still be there. And then explain in detail what happens and what led up to the use of the spray. If you were justified in its use, you will have nothing to worry about and most likely never see a courtroom. Also take note of any security cameras you noticed that may have caught the entire incident. Again, as previously mentioned. Be smart about it’s use and never use it just because your were angry or your emotions were running high. That’s never a good reason and will land you in jail very fast! It’s ONLY FOR SELF DEFENSE pure and simple!Also, needless to say, (common sense) keep this way from children! Matter of fact, kinda treat it like a loaded firearm!

Used to carry this brand on duty as did all the deputies. Many deployed theirs and they always sprayed nicely. I am retired now and carry it now walking. I replace it at 5 years and empty the old ones. The old canisters spray fine after 5 years.

The MK 3 is the standard issued law enforcement unit for thousands of police departments. It is field tested and proven. The larger flip top opening and simple aluminum canister design makes this model one of the most dependable and reliable OC Sprays on the market. No plastic keychain cases to crack or fall off a keychain. For years I carried the tiny keychain size canisters until I noticed every time someone would grip one of the training canisters they would either fumble with the cap or get their fingers in the line of the spray. The output was subpar and the cans emptied too quickly. The brands that sprayed longer sprayed less OC per shot. The price was about the same as the MK-3 for about 3 times less contents. These mid-sized canisters are much easier to grip and locate in a panic. They also spray much more contents per burst at a greater distance for rapid saturation. I carry it slipped in my waistband or in my pocket. The larger MK-4 stays in my bag. The 1.3% formula is about 7 times more potent than the classic 0.2 formula. The 360 design means it will spray no matter how you hold the canister. Works fast and hits hard. Highly recommend you get the inert training canister with the green label.

This is very good spray, excellent alternative to a more deadly option. be careful when you do discharge the spray, that you do not want to be exposed yourself in the middle of an emergency. Exposure causes burning and blindness, burning of the skin, and also if inhaled you feel like you cannot breathe and then panic sets in. It can be easily discharged so please keep out the reach of children or where it can be easily accessed. I do recommend a getting a case to carry. government agencies use this product from the same manufacturer it will not let you down.
