Good ear protectors meet average headphones
Bought these because I work in a noisy lab at work, and I didn't think my in-ear headphones were protecting my hearing well enough. I looked at bluetooth models but was put off by the lack of choice and price (~£50 for Chinese ones with poor reviews, or hundreds for good ones), so bought these for £30.Build quality is excellent, I have no issues wearing these in the workshop and they feel very nice in the hand, certainly much more solid than they should for the price. Fitment is good, I can get about two or three hours out of them before my ears start to ache - I've never found over-ear headphones that don't make my ears ache, and these are certainly the best I've ever owned in that regard, so no complaints from me (Behringer, I'm looking at you!) I have a very big head and they fit well enough with the cups extended to maximum. Unless you have a freakishly large head, huge ears and lots of hair they should fit you fine.Sound quality is so-so. I've certainly heard worse, but the best I can say is that they're just about listenable. Bass is muddy and indistinct, and high frequencies are mushy. But you can hear the music fine, and you can hear it over environmental noise. I would be happy using these as stage monitors for live performance or as performer monitors in a studio, but not for mixing, mastering or sound desk use. Having said that, the excellent isolation means I've still heard some parts to songs that I've never heard before, so they aren't all bad.Overall, I've given them four stars. Build quality and functionally as ear protectors are definitely 5/5, but poor sound quality brings it down somewhat.Pros:Good fitGood isolationExcellent built qualityPriceCons:Average at best sound quality

Not quite.
I like to wear radio ear protection when mowing the grass, it makes the work pass more pleasantly. These were functional, but I'm afraid that for me this purchase did not do the trick. On the plus side I was able to listen to DAB radio while wearing ear protection, which was my goal (for some reason ear defenders with built in DAB is quite hard to come by at a reasonable price). But, it seems to press unnecessarily firmly against your head. It isn't exactly painful, but it is constant... and after an hour of mowing I am desperate to take the darned things off!Secondly, the audio level is quite poor I find. I have difficulty hearing the music over the noise of the lawnmower, even with the noise reduction offered by the ear defenders. So, I think I'll keep looking for something better.

Great protection and music while you work!
My Honeywell Howard Leight 1030111 Sync Stereo Ear Defender are a very good product. They cut the sound of my machinery e.g tractor and brush cutter to an acceptable level. I find them comfortable to wear even with glasses on, however, I would like to see them with a little more adjustment to fit over my ears (big head). The reason I bought them was because of the built in speakers. I love listening to music while I work. There is a jack on the side of the ear piece which allows you to plug your phone in or as in my cases, I bought a Taotronics Bluetooth wireless receiver which allows me to connect with my phone without any wires. The sound quality is good as is the reception. I found that I am getting about 14 hours of music before having to recharge the receiver.I'm really pleased that I bought both items as they have taken some of the boredom away from repetitive work practices!

Not so sure about these.
Alright for the money. They are not the most noise isolated earmuffs. They even amplify some noises. They don’t have the best audio. The seal around the ear is a bit stiff meaning you have to readjust to get a proper seal. But even though it sounds pretty negative they are actually pretty alright for the money. To get a better set would mean spending multiple of what these cost so overall I’m happyUPDATE:After an initial 4 star review I'm dropping this to 2. Reason being the seal around the ear. It's super difficult to put them on in such a way that they seal properly around the ear and any bit of movement of the head will cause the seal to break. This is a pretty big issue and even the most basic cheap earmuffs tend to seal fairly well. I find that I'm constantly adjusting them and when I say constantly I mean it literally, not figuratively.

Quite comfortable, mediocre sound quality, ok-ish isolation
Contrary to some reviews these are actually decently comfortable for ear defenders. I can wear them for hours and only need to adjust them now again. I'm used to wearing ear defenders though (I have a 34db pair) - these ones are more comfortable. They are quite small however they just fit for me as long as I extend them to the max. The headband could do with more padding as well.Sound quality is ok. You'd definitely get better for the same price with normal headphones.Noise isolation is the biggest disappointment for me. My other ones were rated at 34db NRR, and these are just 25db NRR. It's noticeable and that extra 9db makes quite a big difference.Detachable 3.5mm jack is nice, lets you use it as a headset.I got about what I expected - 7/10.

Work well if you have a smaller head
These ear defenders do not offer enough adjustment in lenght for what I consider to be a typical sized adult male head. My head is not abnormally large, I hope, and these just do not have enough length of adjustment to be comfortable, they pull my ears upwards and after a little while start causing pain because of that. I am sure many people do not experience this issue though. They are relatively good at blocking out noise for a slim line model though and the 3.5mm jack input works but in some situations is pointless as you cannot hear any music over external noises clearly enough to enjoy the music. I went on the buy some Peltor ear defenders and these fit much better and have a larger scope of adjustability.
