Good spikes, bad end-caps
The metal spikes themselves are durable and manufactured well. They fulfill my purpose with direct attached sprinklers, and sprinklers mounted on PVC risers. (Pay attention to the top screw thread being 1/2", and the side m/f being 3/4" GHT.)However, the plastic endcaps are crap. When you send water pressure, they can easily break right away. It's important to fix them by replacing the plastic one with a brass endcap. Might as well replace the washer with a silicone one as well. Also, use Loctite 545 or similar thread sealant to prevent leaks.I'm using brass fittings all around with these, and running them successfully all over the garden. So far so good, using every day for 2-3 weeks. No data on if they're winter-proof, or best taken inside. I plan to blow the lines out with a compressor, and hope for the best.

No moving parts, haha
I use metal Rainbird sprinkler heads. Rainbirds have been around since I before I was born and I have not seen an improvement in the technology. The metal ones last forever. If they sit unused outside insects and debris will clog the up. If you detach them from the spike they are easy to unclog. Thespike I replaced split and cracked at the seam where the spike joined the housing, but gawd knows how long I had the old one. I think they are made out of zinc which is a soft metal and cheap, but don't quote me on that. Get yourself a pair of needle-nose Vise-Grips for changing the sprinkler heads, plus it is a great tool to have! Came with the necessary rubber washers on both sides. Final tip - put a dab of vaseline or grease on the threads in case you ever have to disassemble the unit in the future, it won't be stuck from corrosion or hard water.

Works good.
Needed a sprinkler for an odd shaped area. Went to local box store. They had a rainbird sprinkler head on one of these. Their head wouldn’t spray the distance i needed, so I got one of these and different head. Works great. Did such a good job, I got a couple more and different heads for all kinds sprinkler patterns/distances.

Solves a watering dilemma
For those areas where traditional sprinklers or drip systems just won't work, these clever holders offer a perfect solution. They allow you to connect multiple Dramm spinning sprinkler heads – fantastic for low water pressure situations. The targeted spray of these heads lets you water exactly where you need it, and the beauty is, they operate on a single automatic timer for effortless control of your entire watering zone. An added bonus? The low-lying spray ensures your windows stay perfectly dry!

Cheap metal
I have been using this for one month and the spike that goes into the ground is already bent. Probably won’t get another month out of it before it breaks.
