Giraffe Hybrid Garden Hose 5/8" x 50ft, Custom Length, NO Kink, Flexible, Leakproof Hose with Male to Female Fittings, 600 Burst PSI

The order arrived on the date expected (it was going to arrive a day earlier but that was interrupted by a holiday). A bit disappointed because the site said the hose was rubber; it turned out that it was a "hybrid" meaning there were other components besides rubber. I had purchased rubber hoses before by Goodyear that were definitely sturdier and of only rubber. The hose comes tightly wound so there were plenty of kinks until the hose was stretched out although in use it did kink tightly, unlike the heavier rugbber, which meant going back and undoing the kinks so water could flow. It wasn't cheap ($80) but less than a real rubber hose.

I wanted a hose reel & hose in the front yard but the water hook up is on the side & I use to drag a 100 ft hose from the side to the front. So I bought a new hose reel, etc., plus this EXTRA LONG CONNECTOR HOSE, & was able to put the hose reel in the front yard. I just still have to turn the water on along the side of the house but now I don't have to wrestle that heavy hose anymore.

I was used to using heavy, inflexible plastic tubing that would always kink. This product is completely different - very light weight, has a metal coiled outer coating that prevents kinking, and easy flow over a reel. Products also comes with good quality adjustable head. Brilliant product- would highly recommend it

Wanted to replace my expandable hose-tired of poor durability. Bought this hose based mostly on reviews and description by the seller. I have the hose for a few weeks now and have used it a few dozen times. No leaks from the hose or at my outdoor faucet and at my watering wand. Hose is soft and flexible, but will kink if there's no water pressure. It is very kink resistant if the water is turned on. Not light like an expandable hose , but not as heavy as some of the older vinyl hoses can be. However, what is weird about this hose is that it appears to be manufactured with a "twist". This has nothing to do with it being coiled up for shipment. This hose just wants to twist. Its very bothersome to have to constantly un-twist it during use. Coiling it up after use requires constantly untwisting the hose. A PIA! I gave it the ratings that I did because of this peculiarity and because I have no idea how durable it will be during continued use. BTW, you will need to either purchase or have on hand a watering nozzle as it does not come with one.

Backyard hose.

I was surprised to feel the texture of the hose being rubbery and soft. I usually feel a different texture on other hoses. The hose has worked great for me to run my pressure washer on. No issues with leaking. Would buy again

Was quite happy with this hose. The metal connections are ok but prefer brass for longevity. Not a USA company so time will tell. Had previously bought a hose on this site that was perfect in every way. Sears had a good one that would last forever. Time will tell. One week in after use. My results are in. This product should last for quite some time. Take inside after fall and don’t run over with the car.
