A Great Start!
I had very low hopes for this book as it was only $0.99 with very little detailing information. I decided to take the risk and buy it, which I am quite pleased about. The book reads as a diary, or now-a-days like a blog. I wish the author started off focusing on herself, rather the trips, as I much preferred those chapters and then the ones that followed. While reading the first chapters I wondered why there wasn't a "how I ended up here" type intro, which came later. The book did come to a rather abrupt end, which I felt could have been drawn out a bit more. Such as more detail on the remaining days of Pan Am, from her point of view. This could easily be twisted into a full length novel, or even make a great fiction story if they so chose. If the new ABC show 'Pan Am' has landed you on this page do not hesitate to buy this great quick read. (book is short, but not TOO short. Finished in 2 nights) Hope the authors continue to write in the future.

Interesting
Sometimes the abbreviations were too confusing. Even though at the beginning of each sentence/paragraph it was explained. Good & interesting read.

A nice read at night
Enjoyed reading about her travels and Pan Am. A simpler time and when flying was special. I recommend this book

Interesting Stories of the Pan Am World for flight attendants
These are interesting stories, but there were too few to consider this a book. The Vietnam Nam story with the babies has circulated for years, and is well known. I especially enjoyed your round the world adventures.I wish you had talked more about the 1980's. Were you working then? The Pacific was sold in 1986, what were you flying before and after the sale? What were you doing on the day of the 103 bombing..Please consider a second edition with additional stories.Tim WilsonFormer LAXIUPA.

She said it was a very fun and interesting to read about a woman who went ...
Gift for my mother who was hired in 71, just about the same time as the author of this book. She said it was a very fun and interesting to read about a woman who went through many of the same experiences and adventures as she did. She also said a good 1/3 of the book is very boring for those who are not interested in the author's personal life outside of Pan Am and who just want to read the parts that remind them of the good old days (her being one of these people). She liked it enough to loan it to one of her friends, which is a high compliament.

A very interesting insight to a world we will never experience again. Well done
After reading many books on the rise and fall of Pan Am I thought I knew as much as I could about the subject but this enjoyable little book provides a great insight into the personalities of some of those involved. A great read about the airline and the life style and rules that effected the employees. Thanks Ann for an enjoyable read. Wish it were longer but that is the sign of a great book.Pilot Pete from New Zealand

Delightful read
We read this book in our book club. The author is in our book club and it was great fun to hear the details of her journeys in person.

A real treat!
Simply put, what a fabulous read! From one story to the next, the adventures of Ms. Valentine get better and better. It is a tale--A Very Plane Diary--of a woman's independence, freedom, bravery, and above all... compassion and care. To be given a glimpse into the life of a world traveling Pan Am flight attendant and to experience her adventures from her point of view is a real treat. Every time I tried to put it down, I had to keep reading to see what would happen next! I highly recommend Pan Am Unbuckled.

Interesting but largely descriptive
I enjoyed reading this book, but considering the uniqueness of the writer's experience, I was often left with a thirst for greater depth in the narratives. I'm sure there was far more beyond the surface of descriptions that could have been fleshed out.
