Love this yarn and the colour Raspberry that I bought
Although this yarn is somewhat lighter than an advertised worsted weight, I do love the yarn and colour Raspberry that I bought. I knitted a large shawl of this yarn, and after the machine wash the fabric bloomed, softened tremendously and gave a beautiful definition to the lace pattern. In a way the shawl felt like made of tencel. It is a pity, that some customers weren't informed on the properties of flax fiber and downgraded this yarn as not suitable for knitting of fine apparel, because although indeed somewhat stiff to work with, after washing the yarn attains a luxurious feel, and with the natural strength of flax fiber you end up with a heirloom quality item. I also bought a few other colours and am looking forward to knitting more garments with them. Thank you for offering this yarn!

More like sport weight, but good stuff
The package lists this a yarn weight 3, which is usually translated to DK. I think it's more of a 2 or sport weight. But it's nice linen yarn. The package suggests size 5 knitting needles or a G/6/4mm crochet hook.I haven't worked with the skein I just got yet, but as a knitter (and having knit with similar linen yarn in the past), I think the 5 is a bit oversized. The yarn will bloom a bit when washed, certainly, but it will still be on the loose side as a fabric. Possibly, just what you're after, since linen makes such a lovely drapey fabric.Be aware that while this is appealing because you can machine wash and dry it, it's also likely to shrink a reasonable amount. The best path is to make a swatch and wash it several times to figure out what will happen with the stitch you're using. I recently did a double knitting project with linen, and it shrunk in both width and height, maybe about 10% in height and more like 5% in width.I got the Regatta color, and the color representation in the product listing is apt; it's a medium blue. (Some might call it a light navy, which is to say that if you took navy colored paint and added some white, you might end up with this color. Depending on how purple your navy is.)If you haven't worked with linen yarn before, be warned that it is very stiff and reminds me of working with kitchen string. I find it very hard on my hands to knit with. So it's maybe best to not try to hammer through a whole project with this yarn, but to work on it in little bits. But the yarn does soften even as your working with it, and I find it such a joy. And then you have this wonderful washable thing that just get softer over time. Also, linen is one of the most eco-friendly fibers you can buy. (Although I don't know anything about the dying process for this yarn; it's not necessarily 100% good.)Again, I haven't yet knit the skein I just bought yet, but it's just what I was hoping for, and I will be buying more of this brand.

Beautiful color.
It arrived sooner than expected; I ordered the green color and it is beautiful! I’ll definitely be ordering more. It’s the first time I’ve used it - I’m using it for weaving, the fibers do come apart a little as it’s been woven, I just need to do it more carefully, which a perfectly fine. I can’t wait to order more!

Makes wonderful luxe wash cloths
This makes lovely bath wash cloths. It softens after a few uses and wears like iron. Knitted in a reversible pattern, truly lovely! There's nothing like a linen wash cloth.

Linen for class
Excellent linen. I did buy beeswax and ran across to the brick to add some stability to the linen as I was working a specific project. Lovely project. I was also thrilled with the natural colors.

planning for a beautiful sweater
I love the color and am enjoying working with this texture for the first time. It feels quite different from cotton or wool yarn, but I like it regardless. So far so good.
