The package on this item came in a tight box, without the cushion being compressed. Upon opening the container, I noticed there were a small hole in the plastic, allowing the foam to air out and breathe. I also noticed little to no smell from the cushions. No need to air out the foam, the extra additional cloth on the foam was nice too. Prewashing the velvet was simple enough, washed on delicate cycle and on normal dry settings. The label lacked instructions on how to wash the cover.Installation requires two people if you want the item to look properly done (it looks like an expensive piece of furniture). I had someone help me hold the Velcro in place, as I had to pull on the fabric and squeeze some of the foam to get a nice tight fit. Installation was easy, I had to look at the online picture to get a general idea of where placement was to be had.Good price for the item, and I believe my boy would love it. As he is sitting down on people laps now, pillows on the floor and the tatami. My boy can carry the item too and place it where he wants. I am only afraid that he would use it as an escape mechanism.Note. I still aired this item out for a couple days as a precaution. Usually little to no smell you can detect the smell coming back into the room. I detected no smell coming back to the room.

We love this chair!! I have it set up for my 16 month old boy in his room by his bookshelf. He sits and looks at books! It’s also big enough for me to sit in it too lol it’s very sturdy and very soft and he loves it

We got this chair for my son a year ago. I highly recommend it. He has thrown it around, gotten it dirty, done flips in it, and every thing else a 3-4 year old boy does to a chair beside sit properly in it. We have washed it and put it back together with ease (I always velcro it together before washing so it doesn’t stick to itself). The chair still looks and feels brand new a little over a year later! You can easily get your child’s name embroidered on it if you’d like as well. It’s still the perfect size for my son and he is almost 5.

Compared with other products like it, this one is a great value and looks nice! It took about four adults just under half an hour to figure out how to get it together though…

The media could not be loaded.  I was about to purchase an extremely expensive pottery barn anywhere chair but didn’t want to spend $150-160 so looked on Amazon. Just received the chair today, took off the cover and machine wash cold low dry setting and cover came out like brand new. Very easy to assemble. Foam is extremely sturdy I am 150 pounds and sat in it and the foam held my weight without sinking. Would purchase again. Thinking about getting multiple.

very nice quality kids sofa!!!! comfy and firm , the sofa cover could be taken off and wash , it even could fit a adult to sit! my 4 years old son loves it!
