Q: Does it come with instructions? Instructions for different designs?

This bracelet maker comes with instructions to make a variety of bracelets. We have started with the basic and now have challenged ourselves with the 'wider' patterns. The nice part about this set up is that you can take a break, then go back without making a mess with the string order. Very fun for my 8 year old.

Q: what is the age recommendation?

The box said 6+, but I think that is way too young. I would recommend for 8 year old if crafty and has a long attention span and patience. Otherwise, I'd say it would be appropriate for 10+. I returned the product because the raised lettering was rough to work on.

Q: What book would you recommend for patterns?

I go on YouTube & watch videos. It's easier for me. There's TONS of videos with great designs!!

Q: How many bracelets does this make?

It depends on how many colors you use per bracelet, length, etc., but typically up to 5-10 bracelets.
