Quis Custodiet ipsos Custodes? (Who watches the Watchers?)
Watching out for snoopers is no longer evidence of unreasonable paranoia. With tiny spy cameras available for less than the cost of a cup of gourmet coffee, with video and audio transmitters easy and cheap to get, with RF tags and GPS trackers an off-the-shelf item, it's far wiser to be safe than sorry. The Sedpell Hidden Device Detector gives me and my family peace of mind whenever we're away from home, even shopping in malls or department stores, many of which have had incidents of hidden cameras in dressing rooms and even in toilet stalls. Hotel rooms, BNBs, and many other places have also been violated by peeping Toms. Carrying this device gives us at least some assurance of privacy. In business, eavesdroppers are often found (usually too late) to have listened in on private meetings, with results which can be devastating; here again, "forewarned is forearmed." This Sedpell Hidden Device Detector will also detect tracking devices which may have been dropped into luggage or attached to a vehicle; this is less common but usually far more serious, and again I'm glad to be able to ensure my family's safety from such techniques. This detector can also detect infrared, used in night vision devices, as well as lasers used for detection or eavesdropping. With an RF detection range of 100MHz to 8GHz, the Sedpell Hidden Device Detector covers virtually all of the frequencies used for such purposes, including cell phones and WiFi, and the device also detects laser and magnetic devices, a range of detection which covers almost any eavesdropping device in use. I've also found the Sedpell useful in my work, finding spurious RF sources, loose RF connections, bad joints and the like. I'm quite impressed with the Sedpell Hidden Device Detector and am happy to recommend it.

It Found a Hidden Cell Phone
The media could not be loaded. Let’s start with the instructions: they need to be clearer! A function will find B OR C functions finds D. That things was beeping all over the hotel room. So what I did was, turn off all my cellular devices except the one for the test, hid it in the pillow case and started the Hidden device. It made some sounds as I searched and the lights started flashing but it really went crazy when I neared the hidden cellphone. So it works, but there has got to be a better way to explain how it works and why. It’s compact, fits nicely in any bag. It’s reasonably priced and it’s great for people who already have a suspicious personality.

Good Electronic Device For Detecting Hidden Cameras And Other Equipment
The Sedpell device detector was ordered for use when we are traveling, in motels, hotels, and in other areas that should be private. This tool appears to be a professionally made detector. According to the product description it can detectvarious types of cameras, mobile phones, and other signals. I tested it first on my cell phone, and it was immediately detected within about 15 seconds of use. I then turned the cell phone on airplane mode and, true to form, it could not detect the phone. This was noted in the instructions. I'm not an expert in electronics. I just know that when I tested it initially, it worked. The product description also indicates it will find "any bug". I don't know whether this is true or not, but if it detects cameras and other sound devices in a variety of places that should be private, then this will be well worth ordering. My only concern is when there are multiple frequencies in the area that may or may not pertain to the specific area I am in.BOTTOM LINE: This detection device was relatively easy to use, though the instructions could have been better written for being able to understand. It is easily held in one hand. When tested, it found the signals for the phone. At its current price point, it is definitely worth ordering.

Neat, but difficult to use
I was excited to take this with me to test out at a house rental, but I found that it's very difficult to use because of its sensitivity. Since many of the rental houses are wired up with noise/movement detectors, it goes off pretty much everywhere when using the mode that detects connected devices. At home, the situation was more controllable. It ended up finding my cell phone quite easily, as well as the router. OK, fine. For the camera detector -- which, honestly, is what I really care about -- it's oddly not sensitive enough. I tried the device at home first, where we have Simplisafe cameras. I basically had to put the device's lens an inch or two away from one camera before it signaled anything. If I have to sweep every inch of every room, that's not ideal. And it only worked for this one camera, which was currently active/unshuttered; it didn't detect the inactive/shuttered (yet plugged in and connected) camera in the other room at all.So, either I'm using the device incorrectly (the instructions are quite poorly written), or it really only detects cameras that are actively filming. That sort of helps -- but ideally, I'd want something that got *any* connected camera, active or not.
