Stellar Reverb
This pedal is the new smaller version of the exact same circuit in the original holy grail. The new "nano" line, which includes this and several other pedals, recreates old EHX stomp boxes without the enormous footprint that they all had. The pedal is digital, but offers true bypass and incredibly realistic emulation. It is a really sturdy pedal that is better than most amp reverbs that I have tried. It includes the same three modes as on the original - I use "spring" almost exclusively. "Flerb", which combines reverb and flange, is cool, but not too useful without muddying up the sound.Pros: This is an incredibly realistic emulation. It will make your sound bigger without making it louder. It also now comes with a jack for a standard boss-style 9v adaptor (as opposed to the odd shaped one on the old version). The case is super sturdy and the small size makes it easy to place on any pedal board.Cons: The reverb has a longer tail sound than some others and this cannot be adjusted (for this, get the Holier Grail pedal, Holiest Grail Pedal, or Holy Grail +)I heartily recommend this as a way to improve even the highest grade rig.

Big, spacious and lush reverb in a little bitty box.
This is a beautiful sounding reverb. The three modes all have a distinct sound of their own, and each is wonderful. I'm partial to the classic Spring reverb, which is where this unit really shines. Deep and lush with plenty of control, like a good spring reverb should. The box is small and fits neatly on my pedalboard. It came with a power supply, and a scary little note that warns not to use it with any other power supply or risk damage to the unit, and it specifically warns not to use other supplies even if they have the same rating/setup. This disappointed me a tad, since I wanted to hard wire it up with the rest of my pedalboard without having a second power cable running off it, but I guess I'll make do...the sound is worth it. My primary use for it is through one of my Orange amps which doesn't have a reverb built in, and I couldn't be happier with the way it sounds.

Mojo for me with the spring setting
I like the Nano reverb. While it's not as good as a real spring reverb, it does do a pretty convincing spring reverb. I only use the Spring setting but I find it to sound lush, open and organic. By organic I mean that it sounds as if it's part of your amp vs a pedal. I don't use a effects loop so it's in front of my amp. It adds some mojo to my sound without sounding fake, processed or harsh.

AMAZING reverb pedal!!
I read a lot of reviews about the EH Holy Grail Nano pedal. All the reviews claimed it was a great little pedal, and they were all correct. Don't let the size of this pedal fool you, it produces some KILLER Spring and Hall Reverb sounds. Deep, rich, lush reverb that reminds me of the old stand alone tube powered Fender Reverb units. The price is great, and they take up very little space in a pedal board. I am VERY happy I bought the Holy Grail Nano, and play thru it daily. Try one at a guitar store if you get the chance, you'll probably buy it!! I did !!

Not so useful
I bought this pedal based on other reviews both on Amazon and other sources. I used to have an amp with a killer spring reverb and I wanted to add a decent spring reverb pedal to my current set up. I even thought I may have some fun with the flerb even though it's just a flanger, and usually I don't like flangers. When I unboxed the pedal I was really surprised that it was so light weight. The casing felt pretty rock solid. I didn't get the EHX sticker that is supposed to come with the package but that's neither here nor there. After playing around with it for a while, ultimately I had to return it. Perhaps I am being too utilitarian here but I was disappointed that I couldn't simply add this pedal to my current set up. I'm in a process of creating a small pedal board that I can travel with and have only a few pedals that I feel is essential to my sound. This pedal requires 9.6 volts to run even though EHX put 9v on the case. If you read the details the "96DC-200BI power supply" refers to a 9.6 volt power adapter. For my current travel pedal board (which is quite minimal) this would mean I need to bring another power strip just to provide the the right power to one reverb pedal. Maybe no one else will have this issue but it was enough for me to consider a different pedal. Also, after playing with the flerb I realized I will never use that setting. It's just a flanger on the reverb signal. Personally flanger is my least favorite effect. In this pedal, you can't really control the depth or rate. If you really wanted to mix a flanger with reverb, there are other ways to do it. Step 1: get a flanger pedal. The spring and hall settings on the pedal are good. The spring reverb colors your tone a little bit like a reverb tank might and the hall reverb really has a nice depth to it. I am going to guess that EHX used several multi-tap delays in the circuitry to mimic a spring reverb sound. After around 3 o'clock the spring reverb starts to sound artificial and you almost hear the original attack jitter in the decay. The sound almost points to what the Afterneath by Earthquaker Devices does but obviously this pedal is made to be that crazy.I may consider changing up how I am currently powering my pedal board and look at the Holy Grail Neo. If the plate is good as the the spring and hall, I would buy that.

Simple and Great
If you need a reverb pedal you need not look any further. This pedal seems very well made and has the nicest reverb this side of an AC 30. Terrific value too but keep in mind the Nano is powered by its ac adapter only.

A good deal for a compact reverb
Love the price, love the simulated spring reverb. Nuf said. Who needs flerb or hall? Not me but it's nice to have options. I bought this in lieu of getting a real spring reverb. I love the nano grail because it fits nicely on my mini pedalboard and sounds great! I use it during live jam sessions. I'd consider using it for recording but chances are I'd record dry and add reverb later.I recommend it!

Meh.
Nada especial. De lo que me quejarΓa es que si subes el volumen de efecto suena a chorus en vez de reverb.

Super nice!
Genau der Sound den ich brauche. Der Hall ist super und Flerb ist cool wenn man was ausgefallenes braucht. Kanns weiterempfehlen π

Great, simple reverb pedal. Ideal for blues
I bought this because I wanted a good spring reverb to leave on without having to change different settings all the time as I play blues so don't need too many effects. This is great and not too complicated to use either. If you found this review helpful please press the button below.
