LekiKhumbu Lite Hiking Poles - Black/Red

I’d never used trekking poles before and wanted something to assist recovery from a broken ankle when walking and hiking. My physiotherapist recommended Leki and after doing some research chose these. I’d wanted aluminium over carbon for extra strength and was pleasantly surprised how light they were. The adjustable clamp closure and length markings make them easy to adjust. I also chose cork handles for more breathability. A very reasonable price for good quality.

These poles are great. I took them to the top of Ben Nevis. They have easily adjustable catches which clip out and in which is much easier than the unscrew poles. They are really comfy to hold and I had no blisters on my hands despite 9 hours of use. They are sturdy as I lost my footing a few times with jelly legs on the way down as the pathways are so uneven but with these poles I was safe.

Tried the cheapo ones £30 mark (another TREK brand) and these are worth the extra money. You can push all your weight onto these and they don’t slip at all. You get what you pay for. Lightweight and look smart too.

Easily adjusted, no slip when set, reasonably light , strong , and easily stowed on my backpack, very comfortable.

Sections slipped needing constant adjustment. Get higher spec lekies.

Easy to adjust pole length, seems to hold firmly. Light poles with Cork type handles, robust so far.

It's a tool that does its job well. I have several other pole brands with similar locking, handle and pole material. They ALL perform the job they were built for. The LEKI I've used for approximately 40 miles of mountain terrain hiking in SE Tennessee. It took me a minute to figure out how to adjust the wrist straps with the pop up lock piece. Overall, with it's combination of material choices for strap, hand grip, locks and pole, it just feels better in hand. Well, either that or my brain is rationalizing for spending 2 to 3 times as much as usual for poles. :) Really though, great poles and are the ones I carry around in my truck while the others are backups for me and for family/friends.

Los he llevado solo a una ruta, pero sin duda resultaron excelentes, habrá que ponerlos a prueba en todo tipo de terrenos.

Using these for a flyfishing wading staff...works great and far better quality, stronger, than what SIMS sells and you get two!!
