Very nice fitting for penetrating water-tanks and reservoirs
I used this to hook up a water line to refill a waterfall-fountain reservoir. Simple to use and nicely seals the opening in the plastic reservoir tank. Use it to mark the hole size in the tank, cut the hole, spin on the fitting together from both sides, and the rubber gasket seals the fitting in to eliminate any leaks from the hose. It has female 1/2 inch threads on both sides of the fitting.I hooked up a 1/2 inch water line with a clamped male fitting that screws onto the outside of this fitting after it was mounted on the tank, and then screwed a small float valve directly into the inside of the fitting to automatically fill the tank when the water drops. I drilled the hole of the fitting near the top of the tank so the valve would fill the tank to the desired level. I got the float valve for about $7-8 on Amazon also. Just do a search to pull it up.If you have a large barrel, water tank, rain-barrel, or similar water reservoir that requires a nice 1/2 inch waterproof penetration of the tank with pipe screw connections already built in... this is a very inexpensive solution. Makes it easy to plumb to pumps, valves and to the water-feed line. Note that it works best on the flat surfaces of square tanks, or surfaces with a large curve, I am not sure if it would seal as well on the curve of a 5 gallon bucket as the plastic of the fitting is very flat when it presses on the rubber gasket. You would have to try to see if it works on a bucket.Very good solution for hydroponic systems, water storage and water-features.

Works great
Works great in a 5 gallon bucket. Seals tight with no issues. No issues finding adapters that fit at local big box store.

Great fitting and no leaks
I used these on my water containment that feeds my drip irrigation system. These are awesome! No leaks, and mostly easy to install. The only problem I had is not having a metric hole saw, and that was minor. Really impressed with these, and will be ordering more for the next tanks.

Quality product as are all banjo brand items. Is double threaded
All this stuff is too expensive for what it is but if you want it to fit, work as designed & last don't buy anything other than banjo brand tank fittings. It is threaded all the way through & has a very good seal.

Solid and leak free seal.
I used these as drain fittings in a boat cover. They work well and the gasket and reverse thread nut has great clamping power, even on thin material. The head sits up 5/16 to 3/8, so if you’re using them in a drain configuration, you’ll always have some standing water remaining.

Strong, durable, simple, seals well
Super strong bulkhead. Makes a great seal. Not cheaply made like some others I’ve tried. Have used in a number of aquarium applications indoors and out. No issues yet after years of use.

Strong / No Leaks!!!
I am using (8) of these in a Rubbermaid Brute container. Only (2) are below the waterline at all times, but they don't leak. I have about 11 gallons of water putting pressure against them at a heaight of about 14" and not a leak yet. The key is to put the epdm gasket on the side of the container with the water. The main part of the bulkhead then slips through it from the inside so the nipple is sticking out the outside of the container. Then screw on the nut from the outside. I went a little tighter than hand tight (maybe a 1/4 - 1/2 turn) so that I don't run into any problems down the road. If you tighten it too tight, the gasket will flatten out and looks like it could cause it to crack. There is no reason to seal these with silicone. It would actually cause it to leak because the EPDM gasket wouldn't be able to seal properly against the inside of the container. Also, there is no reason to seal the outside of this bulkhead. As long as that nut is maintaining pulling pressure on the bulkhead, it will stay very tight against the inside of the container.I've also used Nylon and Polypropylene 1/2" NPT fittings in these along with some "teflon" pipe tape (3-5 wraps around the male adapter) and no leaks through it yet either. This is also a very beefy bulkhead too. LOL, Ok, I'm done. Don't think I could describe this any more.

great product to make your own tanks!
Bought this to be able to use any container as a water feed system to rabbit drinking supply!Works great just cut hole in container and place this in and tighten it down to seal.would recommend this way over any other actual container as any food grade container could be used for drinking supply with this!If you're a DIY person like myself these can come in very handy!
