I owned one of these holders years ago. I loved it then...I love it now.

This gadget would have saved me the cost of an expensive cookbook I borrowed from my local library. I thought I had it placed far enough from what I was doing while I was cooking so that it was safe. But I was also making a smoothie and when I poured it into a glass, the glass slipped out of my wet hands and dumped smoothie all over the book! Impossible to undo the damage to the book, I paid the library for the loss. Then I immediately ordered this cookbook protective holder. It won't hold really thick books, but it does hold and protect most of those that I have (and those that I will be borrowing in future from the library!)The protector-holder cost me quite a bit less than the ruined book, and although I have decided to keep the book even with its ruffled and a couple of stuck together pages. When I borrow books from the library, it gives me an opportunity to "test before buying". I could have purchased that book cheaper through Amazon.com. Oh, well, as long as I live, I do keep on learning!I do recommend buying this protector for your cookbooks. It is very clear and is likely to save you many messy cookbooks!!

This is shaped perfectly and protects my cookbooks and holds them open. It might not fit really fat books but sure makes cooking easier. I bought it as an add on for $5. You can't beat that! The plastic is plenty thick and is at a great angle. Perfect for my needs. I had one years ago that I loved but lost somewhere. Finally, just what I needed!

Great product to keep your cookbook clean from stove spatters and to keep the recipe upright for better viewing! I have a heavy and thick, beautiful cookbook that I use exclusively, so I keep it in the holder on display on the countertop. It looks very nice.
