Re-Badged Swagtron E-Scooter
***UPDATE 10/9/17***I exchanged the scooter due to the defective rear light housing. I received the replacement promptly yesterday and tried it out today for the first time - NOT GOOD. As soon as I switched it on and hit the throttle - nothing, no power. It took about 3 minutes after I switched it on and repeatedly pressing on the throttle for the motor to finally work and it only provided power to the wheel for about 5 full seconds before shutting down again. It did this for a few minutes before the motor finally stayed on long enough for me to ride it. Once I got up to speed and hit the electric brake, it did not work. The scooter slowed but never stopped. Unlike the original that stopped fairly quickly. The problems with the replacement were mechanical as opposed to cosmetic on the original. I have now requested a second return from Amazon but the only option given is for Amazon credit. I'm upset because I could have used the refund to purchase another scooter elsewhere since all the ones here appear to have quality control issues. As a result of all this I will be updating my review from 3 stars down to 2. Solid product idea but with endless defects and quality assurance problems.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -This Hoverzon scooter is essentially a carbon copy of the Swagtron one also on sale here. I am writing this review on my first full day of using it on campus at UO and, as of right now, I'm rethinking whether it was worth the $300 I spent. On my way to my first class, the rear light housing fell off. I found it several hours later and that's when I realized this scooter doesn't have a working rear light - it's just the hollow, red plastic insert. The design of the grip tape is also not really my style and vastly different from what is depicted on the product photo. I am going to give it a few more days before I make a final decision on whether or not it was worth the $300 I spent and will update this review when I do. In the meantime, here is a pros and cons list to summarize:PROS:- Core structure made of metal- good power from electric motor- super bright LED headlamp- Rubber coated wheels for good traction- Fast charge time- great for last mile commutingCONS:- Short battery life- Cheap looking details (hollow red light housing)- Sporradic looking grip tape- Handlebars don't fold- Flimsy kickstand, but it does hold the scooter alone- Cheap looking front wheel design- Faux carbon fiber-looking plastic covers stem and deck- Cheap plastic covers throughout metal body panels- e-brake grips suddenly and can surprise you but this is something you can get used to- Front stem has a little bit of play when fully open and closed

Good value
I got a good mobility e-scooter that I didn't have to mess with registering or tax, so I can get around, very local, to my home easily. Recharges within 90 minutes.

Not bad..... when it works!
When it worked it was awesome. But battery wouldn't hold a charge after a few months. Customer service is lousy they take too long to respond or not at all.
