Great looking lock, easy to re-key, slightly unusual construction.
I like these locks because they have a transitional aesthetic which pairs well with the shaker style doors on my 1920s house. When you get these, you'll notice that they are slightly larger in diameter, but shallower than a standard deadbolt. To compensate for differences door thickness, there are two sets of screws. To account for the shallow design, the mechanicals are offset, so it takes a couple tries to get them to align. It's worth the extra 90 seconds to deal with the unique assembly just to have a lock that looks appropriate for my home.

Minimalist lock with easy rekeying
Love the simple minimalist look of the deadbolt. The kit came with everything needed for installation on various thickness doors. Rekeying the deadbolt was a breeze with Kwikset’s rekeying mechanism. Highly recommended!

Does not work with Simplisafe smart locks
if you see the screw placement on the reverse, you will see it is very different from most locks which have screws lined up almost evenly with the lock knob. This creates a placement problem in existing applications and will not work with many smart lock applications including with our simplisafe remote lock. We really like the way this looks but sadly, offsetting the keyhole makes the entire armature lower and screw holes remain centered. Sadly we had to return all our locks and couldnt complete our weekend projects.
