HunterFan Company, 22176, Original® Angled Ceiling Mount, White, Medium

I bought 3 hunter fans ............each one stated that they fit angle roofs...when you get the box and open it inside it says if your ceiling line is over like 35 degrees you need to order an angle mounting kit sold seperately......Hunter provides no kit number for this angle mounting kit or other information nothing!!!!!.....so naturally I went to the hunter fan company web site and this 22176 vault mount is the only product that they offer for mounting any of their fans from a steeply pitched ceiling stating that this works on ceilings up to 45 degrees or so....IT DOES NOT.....this is a complete waste of money and time ...this requires you to have a stud or framing member right in the center of where THE ELECTRICAL BOW WILL BE LOCATED AND YOU ARE TOP PUT A LAG SCREW INTO THE FRAMING MEMBER TO HOLD THE FAN????? .....if you are replacing an existing fan hung from a box between supported framing members you are screwed..... this design does not fit the diameter of the canopy that come with most of the fans hunter sells and is total junk and garbage. Hunter fan company should be ashamed of themselves for their lack of honest, their lack of clarity when talking about hanging fans from an angle ceiling and their lack of decent options considering they sell fans that are said to be hangable on angle ceiling...and my inside tip is this if you are trying to install or replace a ceiling fan try the Westinghouse 7003100 45-Degree Canopy Kit also on amazon it will make your life much easier than trying to use this crap from Hunter
