Q: Are these really solid brass? has anyone tried a magnet on them? i will return if magnetic.

I tried a magnet just now and nothing happened so they aren't magnetic

Q: Why are They all bent? They're supposed to be straight. I'm not happy about that.

Miriam, my head pins also came through bent, but they were easily straightened out by running them through a pair of plastic pliers. I hope this works for you.
