Very helpful information!

Index is nearly useless.
Have been a Fodor's fan for many years but the terrible index in this book seriously reduces its value as a travel guide and ready reference. For all the work that went into this book, the index appears to have been an afterthought, which is a shame. People don't read books like this cover to cover, they dip in and out as necessary, and a good index is important for that reason.

Save Your Money
I am a frequent visitor to London and go at least once a year. Every two or three years, I purchase a new guide book to get a fresh perspective on this wonderful city. Sadly, this particular book is so superficial, it may only be useful for the first time visitor with only a day or two in the city, if that. It ignores must of the great museums as well as many off the beaten path locales and neighborhoods that give London its appeal. Even the map is next to useless and doesn’t incorporate much of the city, focusing only on the core. The map doesn’t even show the location of tube stations, a must for visitors and locals alike who rely on the Underground for transportation. There is a Tube map that requires a magnifying glass to read and, as everyone knows, is a stylized representation of the Underground’s many train lines and stations, and not an accurate rendering of what is actually there. Fodor’s didn’t even bother to list what tube stops are handy to the locales and attractions they do recommend (mostly tourist traps and silly exhibits). Save your money. Get the most recent edition of Top 10 London (not the greatest but better than this waste of trees). Better yet, wait till you get to London and head to Whetherstone’s book shop and pick up a staff recommended guide book.

Poor quality paper and tiny print!
I bought this book to aid in planning a trip next year. It arrived yesterday after a delay and it’s going right back. The paper is very thin and poor quality. I’m assuming some kind of recycled crap but it’s very flimsy. The print is very small and difficult to read even with 2.5 power readers! The letters aren’t bold @ all. Very disappointed in this product.

Some inaccurate info and unnecessary commentary
Didn’t get far into the pages when I found a section on the Royals (big reason to visit the UK), that was anti-monarchy, misinformed on how the Royals are funded (Sovereign Grant not taxpayer funds), and biased commentary on Megxit (not relevant!). This is a travel guide! Can we leave personal commentary out and stick to travel info?
