🎶 Elevate Your Tone, Elevate Your Game!
The Two Notes Le Clean electric guitar tube preamplifier pedal is engineered to move your electric guitar rig to the floor. This tube-driven device boasts two independent preamps that are footswitchable and can also be blended together to taste. These preamps get their sound from vintage American amp tones. A free download of Wall of Sound III speaker simulation software gives you the high-quality sound of a full guitar rig. And there is a ton of I/O onboard the Le Clean preamp pedal for MIDI, running direct, headphones, and so much more.

This is no one trick pony!
Great preamp. I use it with an Ovation acoustic/electric and a Carvin solid body electric with Seymour Duncan Jazz pickups into a tube driven optical compressor, a pair of Eventide H9s and finally a pair of Torpedo Lives into the board...absolutely gorgeous tone. Everything from warm glassy bell tones (channel A) to thick silky jazz (channel B) to Texas dirt (channels A+B+compressor gain). We put a tube screamer in front of it for some 70's rock sounds (Eagles, Frampton, Fleetwood, Floyd etc) and this rig nails it all. The single channel with the Ovation really chimes and shines. There's no cons so far and it sure looks like there won't be. Cheers.

I Played On This Pedal For Two Hours Now Dead
I bought this pedal for jazz guitar gigs, while dialing it in I thought it sounded quite nice, then Covid. It sat in a nice padded case for a number of months, I pulled it out recently to start rehearsing again and the tube was microphonic which means gone bad and the on board gain/eq rotaries stopped working all together which tells me the board fried. I will never buy this Two Tone Brand again, that was a lot of money I paid out for expensive junk, you had been warned, beware!

I wanted to love this unit
I wanted to love this unit, which seemed like a perfect hybrid between a DI box and a tube preamp. It's well designed, rugged, easy to use and does what it claims to do. Great features. Great layout of switches, eq, and button. Great potential! The problem I've run into is that (and this may be due to a defective unit) is that it adds a TON of brightness along with the desired boost, tube saturation, and compression it delivers so well. Rolling off the treble doesn't solve the problem without making the resulting tone so flat it's useless. To put this review in context, I bought this unit to have on my pedal board to run my guitar rig straight into my band's PA and in-ear monitoring system, AND--depending on the gig--also to a 68 Fender Deluxe Reverb for the stage. I've been playing music professionally for years and know my way around a wide range of equipment and gear. But try as I may I could not get a usable tone to both the DI and amp simultaneously, and sending the "dry"output was not a viable option since I like to use my time based effects in the preamp's effects loop. The DI sound reaching my ears was almost great. Channel A doesn't have much in the way of flexibility but sounds fat and warm. The B channel adds a wide range of tube crunch and a lot of tonal flexibility especially, especially with either of two Fusion modes available. (Awesome and well design feature!) But due to this is issue with the treble, I could not get a sound I happy with. It was too bright and jangly. And the unit really does not sound good (to my ears) in front of a bright amp like a Fender Deluxe Reverb, at least not with EQ settings that work for the DI/In Ear setup. It's possible that the unit is defective or that the preamp tube was. But I suspect it's more a matter of taste and that the tone this unit delivers is just a poor fit for what I was trying to do. It adds a lot great tone and character, also lot of brightness. At the end of the day I found it much easier to mail the tone I'm looking for using the SansAmp v2. (No tube, but a great sounding unit.)This all said, I think the folks at Two Note are on to something good with this series, which I understand is brand new. I'l be curious to see what other customers think, and I bet many will love this unit.
