It's plastic, and most CAT6 jacks won't fit side by side
Perhaps a closer reading of the description might have revealed that this item is plastic, not metal, but I thought it was metal. It's not. My biggest problem is that most keystone jacks will NOT fit side-by-side in this panel. You can use every other opening, turning this 12-port panel into a 6-port one. I won't be using it for my project. Apart from that, it's a decent product.

I wound up using one for coax cable keystone jacks and it worked great for that purpose
It wasn't clear that standard-sized RJ-45 keystone jackets will not fit side-by-side when installed in this patch panel so be careful to select keystone jacks that are intended for this panel. I wound up using one for coax cable keystone jacks and it worked great for that purpose. The panel is generally well-constructed but you do need to be careful about how much force the cables exert on the panel because it can become disconnected since there are only some plastic tabs holding the face in place.I'm using this in a Leviton structured media center. I originally installed it facing out the way this panel would normally be installed but the SMC wasn't deep enough so I turned it sideways so that the cables face left. It works but a little unorthodox.

Mounting base very flimsy
In concept this RJ45 patch panel fulfills a key role in any small office/home office CAT6 structured wiring system. The design is better than a dedicated IDC punch-down panel because it is much easier to add additional jacks after the initial installation and/or to maintain individual cable runs. But the type 89D mounting base provided with this panel is very flimsy and the locking tabs that attach the base to the panel are too weak to hold the two securely together. The result is that the patch panel keeps falling away from the base and thereby left unsupported. I opted to return this ICC panel and instead go with the similar Leviton panel that uses a more sturdy mounting bracket.

Works but not awesome.
The spacing between keystone sockets is slightly off. Does not work well with anything other than audio quality connectors. It’s also all plastic so it keeps clicking off the supports. Probably should have just used a 1u frame and a 24port keystone planet instead but don’t really have the space. If you don’t need mixed ports just get yourself a 12port panel with jacks.

Perfect little patch panel
I will definitely use this panel on future cabling jobs! It is made of sturdy plastic and the matching bracket is also good quality. Much easier to use than the 110 type panels and has a cleaner look. Cable Matters slim profile jacks fit perfectly. Any slim profile or HD keystone jack should work fine with this panel.

Great panel for the price.
Great little panel perfect for home wiring. This is a high density though so make sure you have the right keystones. I ended up using https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0797RMKPB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they fit just fine.

only some keystone jack brands fit
2 popular brands (CMatters and CCreations) of keystone jacks don't fit because their shoulders on the jack are too big . You can skip every other port and use 6 out of 12 ports. Lev jacks work but are triple the price. Or buy an inexpensive loaded patch panel and re-terminate.

Works but
Need more space between the jacks, Cable matters keystone jacks will not fit without skipping every other one.
