Rock solid power, no compromise performance
This amp kicks! It runs cool under heavy loading too. I really like the low-cut and clip gain reduction features to ensure my PA cabs don't fry when I'm pressing them hard. It is a HEAVY beast at 35 lbs but that's cause it's made of steel and inside there's heavy duty transformers. With its low distortion, low price, and great quality it is a helluva deal. With free super saver shipping it was a steal.

I like the quality of the amplifier
I like the quality of the amplifier, the sound quality is perfect. The only challenge is the power supply. It requires 120Volts while we use 240Volts. I have struggled to get a step down tranformer that matches the item. The ones I find are small they over heat. I could not send it back to be exchanged with a 240v because of high shipping charges. If there is a way you can send me the transformers for a 240v then i ship back the 120 trnsformer to you it might be a little bit cheaper for me. Otherwise the church is enjoying good quality music. ThanksEddie

Great but noisy amp
I bought this amp to power my Butt Kicker as the original BK amp smoked. It works incredibly well and has what seems to be more power than needed. The only draw back if you use this in a home theater is the noisy fan. The stock fan is designed to cool the amp when it's under full load at a concert/event and is working hard. I found an Evercool DC 24V Fan 80 x 80 x 25mm on Amazon that will cool it with much less noise. Fan specs DC 24 Volts, Ball Bearing, 2500 RPM, Air Flow: 32.40 CFM, Noise Level: 28 dBA. I can get by with this fan as I am not pushing the amp to the max with the exception of brief spikes.

Works well, but is rather noisy.
I bought this particular item due to its cheap price and my familiarity with Behringer. I have bought many different guitar effects products and other professional sound equipment devices and found them to be top quality and great pricing. This item feels like its made well, and with that I am extremely happy. The moment I turned it on, though I realized how noisy this amplifier is. I expected a certain amount of noise, myself dealing with PA's in the past with my own band and with running sound at church. This is a noisy amplifier, noisier than many. This is well suited for band atmospheres, where the sound will easily drown out the fan hum, but not so much in a home situation.

Thank goodness for other reviews! Love It!
I decided to build my own home theater subwoofer. I bought a JBL GTO 1514D, and a pre-fab enclosure, and needed an amp. I was going to buy one of several cheaper amps, but the reviews for this one pulled me in. I couldn't be happier! I am running this amp at 2 ohms on each channel. One channel I have the JBL 15 inch, which has dual 4 ohm voice coils in parallel, and on the OTHER channel, I have two 4 ohm 12 inch MTX woofers in parallel, each in different cabinets. So really this is powering a single 15 inch and two 12 inch subs, matched and driving at 2 ohms for my home theater. I come out of my SUBWOOFER out from my receiver and split to both channels. I decided not to run in parallel mode, since the single JBL and dual MTX's have slightly different low end responses, I needed to use an EQ to optimize both at the low ends, and remove one resonant range from the MTX's. The result: I keep the volume knobs on #4 (less than half volume) and when I crank my 5.1 surround receiver, the low end lights up so loud, and so clear, using this amp, that I could not believe it. Here's proof: With my last home theater powered subwoofers, and whatever internal subwoofer amp it had, the entire home theater experience for sound, when cranked, was according to my wife, "a bit irritating". I just loved it since it was cranking, but knew I was slighly over driving the low end. With this amp and subs that can take this amps power, my wife now ENJOYS watching movies with the sound up LOUDER than before, because it is so clear, it's a whole different experience. Amp runs cool even when I pushed it for a 5 min test and clipped it. I could actually smell the heat from my subs voice coils, moreso than feel like this amp was just sitting there idling. Love it!

perfect for DJ
After tons of research I got this amp, Actually its the #2 of the identical now in my DJ system, SO I can power up 4 huge speakers. Great amp , great price. I also do movie events on a lake and these can blast hundreds of feet out over water too. You wont be let down!

pretty terrible sounding amp.
For club kids, but certainly in no way accurate sounding. Also, despite high rated power, surprisingly modest damping factor.
