Works right out of the box
Works right out of the box. I have remote ON/OFF access to anything plugged into it. I have my Amazon Alexa setup to remotely control it, as well as the remote app. I find the remote app easier when not at home.CONS: Bright blue light when not in use. Why not have a setup option to control the on/off switch light?PROS: Works great, Low price, Works with Alexa, Great user app.

.Beware google homers. not compatible as advertised ... UPDATE ...I am changing my review from 1 to 3 starts. The supplier actively contacted me after I posted the 1 star review with more information about Google Home compatibility. The app to load for Google Home is called Smart Life. There are a few apps with the same name, this one has an icon with a blue background, white house outline with wifi waves at top right corner. Add the app to your phone, then add the outlet, and it works just like the Jinvoo app. Then link your Smart Life account app to Google Home (in more settings ... assistant apps). Unfortunately you have to first tell GH to access the app "hey Google, at Smart Life" then Google says "Ok, here's Smart Life", then Smart Life responds "How can I help" before you can give the command for the plug. So it is not a simple command as I was expecting, ie. "Hey Google, turn on the light". But it works if you don't mind the conversation.

This plug is pretty amazing. It works with my Alexa, which I'm thrilled about. I'm able to shut things off from pretty much anywhere in the house. I also love how I can set a timer and my fan will automatically turn off. I'm always forgetting to turn it off and this little device takes the guess work out of it!! I love it! I can be forgetful because this thing really does work!

Works great, easy to set up
Received an Alexa for Christmas, bought this to use with it to control my lamp. Works great, easy to set up, I like that I can turn off my lamp when I am away from home.

Quit working.
I bought 2 of these smart plugs and liked them so much I bought 2 more. One by one they have quit working. They won't connect to network. I bought 2 for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. I'm waiting for the call letting me know they have quit her. Very frustrating!

They are causing my lights to go on and off like strobe lights
These worked well for a while and today they are acting up. They are causing my lights to go on and off like strobe lights. They need a no star rating. Do not know how to get these replaced or fixed.
