So informative and very east to read and understand...great pictures. A wonderful book to keep for reference.

This a great book! Rick Renner has done an awesome job of laying a foundational understanding of the ministries of apostles and prophets. In this book, Renner identifies their God-given purpose and how they are called to function in the church to build it.Further, Renner addresses the timely issue of the dilution of these two ministry gifts in the church, due to a lack of knowledge regarding what they are and what they are designed to do in the context of the larger church.Although this book is not a manual for those called into either one of these ministry offices, which Renner unequivocally states, it is helpful to them because it provides a context in understanding what they are called to do “in the church”.Without that understanding, it can be easy for both apostles and prophets to get caught up doing things they are not equipped to do. Further, because of the abuse of use of these titles by many who are not called into either one of these ministries, we must have a scriptural guide to discern them.Renner provides that guide through this book so those claiming one of these ministries in the church can be tried and tested, which must happen. And as Renner stated, true apostles and prophets can withstand those tests to show they are genuine.Moving further, Renner on a limited basis, suggests that on inspection they be received. For me, I wish Renner had spoken more on how to receive from these two ministry gifts. Both have been watered down by their overuse so much, that unless specific instructions are given on how to receive them, it can be easy to overlook them and miss the blessing they can and will bring into our lives and churches.Overall, I highly recommend this book and am grateful for Rick Renner taking the time to write such a vital and foundational work to add to the body of work by other authors on these foundational ministries.

This book is a great book it breaks down so much for me in the body of Christ I would recommend for anyone not just Christian but the unsave so they can know who GID is and the men of GOD that teaches

Puts you in the apostles’ shoes and brings their plight to life. Brings the Bible to a higher understanding!!!

I haven't thought about this issue for a long time until recently. The author has done quite a bit of research from the historical and biblical setting to let you make your informed decision
