Barry M Nail Paint Gift Set, 6 Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint - Fondant Fresh

‘Fondant Fresh’ gift set contains 6 Gelly High Shine Nail Paints in gorgeously soft springtime pastel shades.‘Hibiscus’ is a gorgeous dusky purple creme and my favourite of the set. The richly pigmented formula gave a fabulous, streak free opaque coverage in just one coat, which is great when pushed for time, but by applying a second coat the gorgeous colour became richer and the result appeared plumper and smoother.‘Bluebell’ is a blue creme that applied a little streaky on the first coat but with a second coat everything evened out giving a fully opaque an glossy result. Smooth application and fast drying, it was slightly darker on the nail than in the bottle - but still a very flattering and pretty shade of blue.‘Honeysuckle’ is listed as pink, but to me it appeared to be more peach than pink. The formula was again richly pigmented but applied a little sheer on the first coat. A second coat gave full opacity and a glossy finish which dried very fast. This is an unusual beautiful shade but sadly it didn’t suit my pale skin tone at all - I’m hoping it will look better when my winter-white hands have had a little summer sun :)‘Sea Salt’ is listed as ‘clay grey’ and this suits the shade perfectly. Two coats were needed for full opacity as this was also a little streaky on the first coat. This too was fast drying to a glossy high shine. This shade looked more beige than grey on my nails but I absolutely loved the clean fresh look it gave my hands and nails.‘Periwinkle’ is a very delicate pale blue creme that, with careful application, was opaque in two fast drying coats. The glossy shine was dazzling and looked so pretty on my nails, this too gave my hands a clean and fresh appearance and I can imagine this will look even more amazing with a tan.‘Eucalyptus’ is a soft pastel green, which applied a little streaky on the first coat (sorry if I sound like a broken record lol) but this too was fully opaque and gorgeously glossy with a second coat. Another fabulous spring shade 💚Overall this is a stunning gift set full of perfect spring/summer shades. All were a dream to apply thanks to the fabulous Barry M brush which paints the nail so perfectly and with amazing precision that even a shaky-handed novice like me can achieve a neat and tidy mani every single time :) Glossy high shine results that look like you’ve just stepped out of the salon - for a fraction of the price! I love painting my toes multicoloured and this is the perfect set now I'm no longer a youthful teen. It keeps the fun, but the slightly softer shades keeps in more inline with my professional image when wearing peeptoe sandals in the office

The selection of colours is GORGEOUS and I’m obsessed with mixing and matching them. I pair them with the Barry M 3-in-1 base coat, top coat, and nail strengthener.As with most polishes you do need two coats, but I find that they self-level almost like a gel product, so no need to have perfect application :) Streak-free and dries quickly — best not to apply too close to bedtime as I did get little imprints from my sheets on a couple of nails, but nothing another coat of topcoat wouldn’t fix.Really love these colours! :)
