Sound quality is not great.
I wanted to like this. It checked so many boxes. But the FM sound quality for music is just mediocre. Comparing this side-by-side to another radio that is similar in size and price, the other one just sounded good. Decent bass and highs. This radio, on the other hand, just had the mids pronounced, and just lacked punch and brilliance. It would be OK for talk, but the music will just leave you flat. Note that I was using the SAME HEADPHONES with both radios, so this is not due to the sub-par included headphonesOn the positive side, the size is slightly larger than I expected, and somewhat larger than other similar radios that lack the MP3 ability. But it is still OK. It comes with a "hand strap" that is actually large enough to be used as a neck strap (but no break-away feature, so be careful). The MP3 capability works well, No text display, just a track number, but this was expected. But the MP3 sound quality, once again, is just flat and unimpressive. The AM feature works, but I didn't spend much time with it, and nobody really uses AM for music, just talk. So I won't comment on the sound quality. This should work fine for listening to sports while you work in the yard. One other thing is that there is NO ability to manually set memories. You can only do a scan, and every station found will be stored. This might sound like a negative, but this style of operation is actually, for some inexplicable reason, common in import radios in this price class, so I can't really complain.

Good Sensitivity and Average to Below Average Sound
This is a review of the Yorek Portable Radio with Earphone Support TF Card, AM/FM Pocket Radio.I use this radio in the SF bay area. I'll be comparing this to the Yorek YK-M02 AM/FM/Shortwave radio.Short Review:Surprisingly good sensitivity, but lacks quality sound. FM and AM sound tinny, with strong electronic feedback on some channels. Background hiss and static on some channels, FM and AM.Long Review:Fit and Finish: surprisingly good for a cheap radio, lightweight, but feels solid. Display is adequate, with a strong backlight.Accessories: comes with earbuds, lanyard, usb charging cable and pouch.Operation: for AM/FM operation it's intuitive, I didn't have to look at the manual. Still haven't figured out how to set the clock. When you turn the radio on, the time shows. Scan speed is a bit slow, but not a big deal.AM: during the day, I received 21 strong and 4 weak stations with this radio. With the Yorek YK-M02 AM/FM/Shortwave radio I received 15 strong and 4 weak stations. Strong performance from a pocket radio.FM: during the day, I received 30 strong and 1 weak station with this radio. With the Yorek YK-M02 AM/FM/Shortwave radio I received 30 strong and 2 weak stations. Again, strong performance from a pocket radio without antenna. As with the Yorek YK-M02 AM/FM/Shortwave radio, this radio has average to below average sound. Talk / News radio is fine, but music isn't really fun to listen to, just to much distortion. Conclusion: Fine for an emergency radio or Talk /News radio, but not a good choice for music.

OK playe4
The radio had some static on am and if you move you head or the player the sound would drop very low. I try deferent head phone and all the same. The mp3 player had static on some song. It was easy to use and setup. It did some the song playing only a number. It was light and well made.

Nice sound for a small radio
Bought for husband in nursing home but didn't realize is rechargeable, which he can't handle. Plus he needs something even simpler, one touch on, one touch off, not pressing and holding, and no other modes. But is a very nice, light radio for older senior with more abilities than my husband.

Battery charge does not last very long.
The unit was fairly easy to set up, however, the battery does not hold a charge for more than a day. The fact that I can recharge with the USB port is a big plus. Overall value is okay for the money.
