Slow... slow.... SLOW.
I am going to review based on the S192 Singularity, as that is the only other Android gaming device that I have. It will also be geared towards emulators, as that is what I use the most.I have one word to describe it.... SLOW. I can't believe this octa-core device is way slower than my quad-core S192 Singularity.Androgens, slow and the audio crackles (it does not on my S192)GENPLUSDroid, slow, but you can fix the audio by slowing it down2600.emu, work fineSaturn.emu, not supported (won't even install, but it installed fine on my S192)Yaba Sanshiro (Saturn emulator), it showed as available, but could not get it to installC64.emu, works fine, but just barely. On the S192, turbo mode flies through slow loading cycles, but on the X300, it FF a lot slowerNES, works fineGiana Sisters, works fineMegaNDS, a bit slowMAME4Droid, works well for all games that I tried.PPSSPP, unusable it runs, but painfully slow and skipping tons of frames. It is almost like watching a stop-motion picture. PPSSPP works perfectly well with no frame skipping whatsoever on the S192 and even on my OnePlus 3 phone. The slowness even affects the lock screen. On every single android device I have ever owned, the screen unlocks almost instantly. On the X300, it takes 2-3 seconds to unlock. It is so slow, in fact, that I found myself pressing the power button multiple times because I thought it had not registered. In short, if you are running emulators for old computers/consoles (2600, NES, C64, MAME), it should work fine, but anything newer (Genesis, Saturn, PSP) it will run slow, if it runs at all. No idea how 8 cores aren't enough to run anything I could run on 4 cores on other devices, but there you have it.The included controllers are not powered by the X300 and have to be charged separately, so you have 3 devices to charge each time (tablet and both controllers), they fit snugly and seem solid enough. The analog pads are slide type (like on the PSP) and not joystick type (like on most gamepad controllers for Xbox and PS). If you like sliders, you will probably be happy with them, as they seem sized just right, if you do not like sliders, oh boy, get an extensible controller like the IPEGA instead.I did not try the 3D features yet and I did not buy this device banking on getting a lot of use out of them. Other reviewers complained that the functionality is limited to 3d videos in "side-by side" format, so that is not terribly usable IMNSHO, therefore I did not count 3D functionality as a "must have" when I made my decision. I may have to return it and get an Archos 7-in gamepad instead. There were no Android updates available when I checked, so I do not know if this can even be fixed with a firmware update.

however they are $100++ more expensive like the jxd which what my son used to have ...
My son loves this tablet. I say there are other more sturdier products out there, however they are $100++ more expensive like the jxd which what my son used to have until he broke the screen. The more recent jxd tablets whose controllers are built into the tablet as a singular unit are about $380. This tablet is not fragile, its pretty well built, however the controllers are the weakness. Although the controllers work well they are not as tough as the tablets metal-esque body. Its made of plastic and attaches to the main unit via friction slider and strong magnets. If the tablet does however fall, this will more than likely be the first one to absorb impact. Happened already two times in our unit and a clip broke inside one of the controllers. I can hear the rattling of the broken part inside but i was able to pry it a little bit open and it fell out. Everything still works fine and there are no visible damage from the controller form the outside. (its seems to have many locking clips inside and the one that broke did not leave any visible gap to bother me). Contacted seller to see if i can buy a controller unit but it does not seem to be possible at the moment.Tablet is ok as it doesn't complain as to whatever games my son has downloaded from the playstore. We've been running old school console emulators and everything seems to be working as it should up to the PS1 titles. We use Classic Boy for the emulator.Bottom line is its ok as it has been peforming goood enough for both the android games and classic emuators which is what exactly i bought this for. Also bought an oricsson 13 inch bag to which it fits properly and a nintendo switch stand to which i had "velcroed" it semi permanently as added protection. Hope they could cut down the price a little bit more and i can consider buying another one. And please seler, allow us to buy extra contollers.

Close but no cigar
If you buy this for the 3D as a 3D picture/video viewer don't bother. While the effect is decent with minimal ghosting the software is bare bones and mostly useless. Any imported pictures MUST be side by side format and anything taken with the Fuji 3D camera in MPO format is not recognized (Why? it is a standard 3D format). Any imported side by side images in 16:9 format will be all stretched in a thin strip and not the original aspect ratio. You need to convert to half with. You can't zoom in. It basically is only usable for the built in demo images or if you want to use third party software to tediously convert every single picture as you can't import your own from your 3D camera directly? Some "genius" designer also decided to put both speakers along the left edge. So if you hold the tablet landscape for games or stereo viewing you don't get stereo sound! You get sound in your left ear only. You get the choice of stereo image OR stereo sound but not both! The hardware is ok and the build seems solid but it fails miserably with the lack of software and it doesn't seem supported with any kind of updates. If all you want is a 2D gaming tablet there are better options such as Nvidea shield etc.

Great Handheld Device
It's a great substitute for a handheld gaming device. The 3D feature is a very useful addition.

Very disappointed.
This device freezes up. When it freezes up it makes a screeching noise. Needs to be returned. Very disappointed.

Unique tablet with detachable controllers
I just received the morphus x300 and I really like it. The 3d and the detachable controllers are what I like most. Plus if you like xbox controllers you can use those too. It takes a little getting used to, but it's worth the time you put into it. Really cool
