I recently tried the Head Net Hat for women, and it’s exactly what I needed for outdoor activities! The hat fits well and provides excellent protection from both the sun and bugs. I recently purchased my second of these hats- my first hat was in khaki color and I liked the design but the mesh was light in color and created a lot of glare in bright sunny conditions.So my second hat is the dark green & mesh is dark and has much better visibility in bright light.I will keep the khaki hat for sun protection in hiking and kayaking (netting tucked away under snaps), and use the green with netting down for gardening (lotsa bugs in my yard...)Someone mentioned tiny bugs getting in through the larger mesh under the crown: the snaps can be snapped closed with the net down, just stretch the netting smooth (only one layer) over the under part of the snap. The snaps will stay closed and it does not harm the netting or make holes in it.Good hat, well-designed and well made.

It's relatively comfortable and very effective at keeping those biting insects off you. The netting is nice and long, you can cinch up the bottom if you wish or leave it open wide. We have a ridiculous amount of biting flies in our neighborhood that are relentless as soon as I step outside. This hat (combined with long sleeves and pants) allows me to be outside without constantly fighting them off.

This is a great hat to wear with or without the netting. I bought this for gardening, weed pulling, and general rose and shrub maintenance. Our lawn and bushes were abundant with small flying moths and other annoying bugs.Up my nose, in my ears and eyes. It was impossible to be outdoors and get any work done at all. But the purchase of this hat gave me the ability to work without the annoying flying bugs. It really works, easy to “shake” the netting loose and also easy to store it. I can highly recommend. Keeps the bugs out.One small downside is that the netting does restrict some vision. You can see through it (I bought the light tan one) but like looking thru a screen door. Which it kinda is. It works..

I bought this hat for myself so that I can enjoy camping and being on the kayak without having to worry about bugs constantly flying around my face and ears. It has great coverage from the sun, protects you against all the bugs, and the size is perfect if you have a small head. The hat is super sturdy and the color matches anything you wear. I definitely think it’s worth the money especially if you like to be outdoors and go camping. Life saver!

The hats fit snugly, they will help block the sun. The insect mesh stores nicely when not in use, and is a life saver in bug country. Can't wait to try them out.

I love the hat! On my 10 day Alaska Adventure, this was an invaluable hat! Great protection for heavy bug swarms on the water. The guides said normally they don't have swarm that heavy. I was fishing and heard someone yell 'ln coming!' They were ducking to get close to the water. In my hat and gortex rain suit, I could stand there and continue to fish. But could hear the swarm hitting me.Later, People were asking were I got my hat and they wanted to see how it works. It's a very comfortable hat. I was able to fish without issue with the incoming swarm. No bugs in my shirt. So glad I had this hat! 😂 Lol, I ended up giving it to the guide when I left. He needed it! I'm getting another one! 😂 Gray was great, went with everything. 👍🏻 Light weight and I could roll it up and put it in my coat pocket. Strap holds it on good too. Just worked out all around at Bear camp, fishing and outdoor hiking.
