Works mostly!
Good inexpensive holder. The bracket for the back of the clip is extremely secure. Landscape mode works great. However, portrait mode is not strong enough to hold the iPad in. They provide 2 rubber bands for this. That helps but without them you better keep an eye on your device.SOOOOOO.... update on this. It works great in portrait mode. It was totally user error. You need to tighten the clip down first then insert your ipad into it. This makes it tight and secure.

Versatile, useful
This holder is versatile, holding my 10" tablet snuggly in a vertical position. Be Very Careful to attach your tablet by First cinching the holder mechanism, then slide the tablet in place one side at a time. You'll have to experiment with various settings to get it to fit snuggly, loosening the holder, and gently but firmly sliding your tablet in place until you get the right fit. Mark this on the holder because every time you release the tablet you have to squeeze the mechanism to fully release it. If you don't get a snug fit you risk letting your tablet drop on the floor. It would be nice if the holder could extend out more.

Perfect!
This is perfect for my needs. I put mine on a music stand so I can just slip it off the top after a gig. Others say it's loose but it isn't at all. You just have to push the unit down hard onto the base until it clicks. It is very adjustable to any angle. It holds my 10" tablet just right to scroll my large font songs.

Mount and forget about it
Purchased this holder about four years. It’s still goin strong. I mounted it on a mic stand and left it there though. If you need to constantly remount this I wouldn’t recommend it because although the mount is sturdy, it takes a little longer to install than others I’ve used. So mount and leave it. It has actual hardened U-bolts that secure it to the stand instead of all plastic stuff that breaks. Others I’ve had with plastic mounts have always broken. I keep two holders on the mic stand - one as a backup. My other plastic mount holder just broke so I’m purchasing another one of these.

Not strong or sturdy
Was just way too cheap. Didn't hold my tablet, wasn't strong enough. Flimsy plastic pieces wouldn't survive, I'm a gigging musician and this is not even a LITTLE roadworthy. Very bad for my use.

Decent tablet holder
I use this to hold my iPads on my music stand so I can watch my guitar lessons. It holds them ok. They hold both my newer iPad (lighter) and my old iPad 3 (pretty heavy). It can hold them with their protective covers on them, but barely. It would be better if it had larger grip arms that could grab around a bit more instead of building it just enough to grab the tablet and no much more. Most people have some type of cover or case.

Works great for a Surface Tablet, can clamp on the wider low part of a stand
I've bought several other tablet stand mounts that were big enough for my tablet, but could only mount to the narrow upper section of the mic stand. This one works on the lower section, where I want my surface tablet, which controls my mixing board. Having the tablet mounted lower lets me sit at the mic to play, and keeps the tablet down out of the way where I can see and monitor things but without blocking the view of my playing from audience members. Clamps very strong, but because of that it's not a super quick adjustment. There are two wing-bolts that have to be adjusted to loosen and move it, which is exactly what I want for a heavier tablet like this. My other simple clamp on tablet holders can be bumped and just pop right off the stand.

Very cheap feel to this unit, but it does the job.
It may fit 10.1" tablets, but only width-wise. So, you can rotate the unit, to see a length-wise display, but there is no support for the bottom of your tablet, then. If that spring arm let's go, - - - good-bye tablet! Very cheap goods. Will do the trick, on cell phones and small tablets, if you aren't too concerned about treating them gently. The spring arm has to be lifted up with some force. There's a reason this thing is less than half the price of the professional grade tablet holders. Cheap stuff! I may come up with a bottom support arm. If I do, I'll update, in here. UPDATE: 11/I : I bent a piece of steel strip to hang from the top of this unit and then bent the bottom of the strip to serve as a small stop for my tablet. Works fine. Recommended, with reservations.

Fragile but works great
It definitely does the job it's supposed to do. The spring is a bit soft and should not be played with as it's loses it's spring when pull out for too long. The adjustments are great. It did fit my tablet sideways. I use it on a boat to have chart plotter on the tablet on the pedestal rail. If I am careful with it, it should last. The plastic is a bit thin I'd say.The holding mechanism is very good though. once in place, very solid. So metal part good, plastic part, be carful and for the price it's good.

Great quality
This unit is great. I'm a singer and guitar player, I use this with a lyric scrolling program. It fits nicely on my mic stand. It holds my 7" tablet strongly. I would buy again in a heart beat!

Good product
I chose this over others with a better rating because it has a better mic stand fastener. I'm not disappointed. Made of plastic and seems quite durable. Not crazy about how holder fastens to the clip arm but so far so good.

Average quality but good price
For the price works well enough. I have to take the case off my iPad Air 2 for it to fit.The grip could be better but as long as you aren’t moving it around it stays in place.
