Quality got a lot worse
Changed the quality, disappointed! I used to buy Kyocera for years and used them until someone who comes to my home breaks it by using on meat with bones or any inappropriate surfaces. Now, I’m buying it very often because it cracks easily on anything, even fruits and vegetables, surprising! It never happened before and the quality was a lot better! Need to look for a better brand

Okay so I'm an actual "certified chef"
So my mom loves these knives, she applauds how they never need sharpened and all that jazz. And yeah they are pretty damn sharp, but their blade can break when you use it too much. It kinda reminds me of a wooden sword with sharpeness 2 (adults making Minecraft references in 2018), meaning yeah it's sharp as hell but will break. I've used knives from $3-200 and yeah this doesn't compete to my 8' but these are perfect for an amateur chef at home. (Lol don't try to cut frozen carrots, frozen anything actually, coconuts, ceramic pie pans lol, or anything you couldn't crack/tear with minimal effort

Very sharp but easy to get stained of food color
Overall, I like this product. I use it everyday for everything. It's super sharp and easy to use. However, after using 4 months now, I found it became yellow. It seems like it will get stained while cutting food with juice or color like cheese and carrots. And I still haven't find a way to clean it up and turn it back to purely white. If you don't use it to cut those similar good or doesn't care about the color change, then I will recommend it.

Quality ceramics
I primarily purchased this knife to cut up raw and cooked meat and it does so extremely well without sawing or tearing. The blade is thinner than on cheaper quality ceramic knives (which I MUCH prefer), the balance is excellent and it is just as effective when used for cutting vegetables and fruits. As long as I don't try to cut through bones or drop it on the floor at an angle, it doesn't need babying. When cleaned, it can drip dry without rusting. I don't know if I would feel safe cleanibg it in a dishwasher for fear of heavy water pressure jostling the blade into nearby silverware and possibly damaging it, but in my case as I don't have a dishwasher, it's a moot point. However, it's very easy to handwash. I'm certain that I will enjoy this knife for many years to come.

Breaks Easily
My first ceramic knife - and my last. I knew this might be very fragile and used it accordingly. I only used it a few times carefully before it broke. It will not tolerate ANY side-loading I normally use Shun knives which also require you to be careful if you expect them to last but compared to this ceramic knife you could dig dirt with a Shun and it would hold up far better. There may be better ceramic knives out there but I will probably never find out as I will never buy one again. I did give it 2 stars simply because it was sharp and comfortable to hold.

Super Sharp But Broke Cutting an Apple
This knife was great for the first week and a half. Reading the description we were super careful with it and switched to steel knives for anything that might bend the blade. Then while cutting an apple in half the blade chipped and the knife is unusable.Maybe we got a bad knife, but it seems more likely that they’re just way too brittle for most people to use. I’m just glad it broke so soon that it’s within the Amazon return period. We ordered a steel set instead and although it will be more expensive I’m happy that we won’t have to stress out about treating knives so gingerly going forward.I will say that after returning this one and before our steel set arrives we’ve been using our old knives again. Going back to the old, duller knives feels like a huge step down so apparently we got used to having this knife be super sharp. If it wasn’t so brittle we’d love a whole set.

My Wife Likes It
It's a pretty good knife. My wife likes it better than I do. My issue is that the shape of the blade is not a good match with the way I hold the knife, because I had a tendency to slightly cut myself on the thumb of the hand holding it. I have never experienced this with any other knife, and the blade does protrude in a way that facilitates this. Rather than try to retrain myself, I just stopped using it. I have another excellent utility knife that covers the same applications. But, as noted, my wife prefers this one and does not cut herself with it. So maybe it's just me.

Great ceramic knife
Bought this mostly to try a ceramic knife. As they have rounded tips, I wasn't really interested in the paring knife so I went for the utility type knife. I was surprised at how sharp it was and how well it performed. I have used it mainly thus far to cut small vegetables and fruit and it works great. I can't speak as to its durability and whether or not it will stain as I washed it immediately after using it and it still looks new. It works well for my use and I would purchase one again again.

Disappointed
Used once to slice vegetables on a wooden chopping board the day it arrived. Very sharp, very easy to cut and slice. Checked the blade after and there are 4 chips taken out of the edge. The knife was not subjected to any other force then slicing on wood....Very disappointed.

I was not easily swayed into buying a ceramic knife as I couldn't ...
I have always dreamt of having a knife as sharp as this. I was not easily swayed into buying a ceramic knife as I couldn't see how it could be as sharp as my favourite steel one. But I'm amazed, and my dream has come true, it's almost like a surgeons knife, I should think. I make a lot of chicken jerky for my dog. Usually a slow and painstaking job with my sharpest steel blade, even though they are part frozen. With this wonderful knife it's a doddle, and a joy to use. I also get more slice from the breasts as I can make thinner slices. I shall save up to buy another knife, a tad expensive, but so worth it. Highly recommended, and great service from the seller. 5*

You get what you pay for
This is my second Kyocera knife, which I bought to replace a cheap ceramic knife I had bought from Aldi, wrongly thinking all ceramic knives would be of similar quality and you were only paying for the name. This knife is so much better than the cheap ones because it has a much slimmer and hence sharper blade that enables you to cut the softest of tomatoes with only the lightest of pressure.Unfortunately, since getting this knife I have realised my old Kyocera knife, which I previously thought of as being sharp now requires sharpening. Consequently I have now ordered a Kyocera sharpener to hopefully bring the old knife (had it more than 5yrs) up to the same sharpness as the new one.

Be careful with your fingers
Sharpest knife I have ever purchased. I bought it for cutting sushi and it was so sharp I cut my hand while washing it and cut the sponge while scrubbing it.I use it to cut frozen meats and everything else solid, especially hard carrots which all my massive kitchen knives fail to do a proper job with. It's been 6 months and it's gotten slightly blunt, but still very sharp. It no longer cuts my finger with minimum pressure. But overall, an excellent help in the kitchen. Perhaps it got blunt because I use it to cut all sorts of rubbish. Yes, it's still good for sushi.

Good kitchen tool
Nice. Sharp.Probably a slight disappointment at the time of purchase, as it is not as sharp as some words lead you to believe.Months on though, it still gets daily use and is good for general kitchen use - remembering not to flex the blade! Please note that the very end of the blade (rounded, not pointed) is sharpened and it is possible to cut yourself if you use your other hand to press down or hold the blade.
